LP-MusicCaps: LLM-Based Pseudo Music Captioning paper page: Automatic music captioning, which generates natural language descriptions for given music tracks, holds significant potential for enhancing the understanding and organization of large volumes of musical data. Despite its importance, researchers face challenges due to the costly and time-consuming collection process of existing music-language datasets, which are limited in size. To address this data scarcity issue, we propose the use of large language models (LLMs) to artificially generate the description sentences from large-scale tag datasets. This results in approximately 2.2M captions paired with 0.5M audio clips. We term it Large Language Model based Pseudo music caption dataset, shortly, LP-MusicCaps. We conduct a systemic evaluation of the large-scale music captioning dataset with various quantitative evaluation metrics used in the field of natural language processing as well as human evaluation. In addition, we trained a transformer-based music captioning model with the dataset and evaluated it under zero-shot and transfer-learning settings. The results demonstrate that our proposed approach outperforms the supervised baseline model.

But if you look at the video data out there, there are hundreds of billions of hours, much of it on YouTube. By some estimates, there’s a thousand exabytes of video data on the internet, about a billion times more than text data. I think we just saw that play out with the new video model that launched yesterday. Google has all this YouTube data, whether or not they’re using it to train, I don’t know. Emerging as the global frontier of model-reasoning has been a core vision of Affine since its inception. In pursuit of this vision, we've been working relentlessly to forge a repeatable training loop: a mechanism that uses benchmark driven post-training methodology to facilitate the improvement of reasoning itself. Through applying our training methodology onto Qwen3-32B as our base model, Affine’s miners have been able to push the Pareto frontier outward. We’ve now reached saturation; our models have become so good at reasoning that any further improvements are producing diminishing returns. As a result we now move our base model to Qwen3.6-35B-A3B. It provides a stronger basis, offering an extended context window, as well as an improved foundation for agentic work. The same training methodology will be applied going forward. Our objective is no longer simply to improve a single model, but to demonstrate that the process in itself is repeatable, scalable, and model agnostic. We view the commoditization of reasoning as vital to ensure our technology is not only transparent, but also co-owned by humanity.
