Here's my first series of Anime created by Generative AI. Vidu 2.0 is a groundbreaking advancement for storytelling in the Anime style. #vidu @Viduforhuman Hi everyone 😊 😉 Here's my first AI-created Anime series. The name of my anime is Kuro & Yuki. I won't spoil the story for you, but it begins with these two boys locked up in what appears to be a highly secure institute/prison. Yuki has reached the age where he has awakened his power. While wandering the corridors of the institute, he meets Kuro, a boy with autism. It's a fleeting encounter as they end up being separated. As the story unfolds, you'll understand who they really are and why they are locked up. I don't plan on making episode 2 yet, even though I've grown attached to my characters' story. I'll continue the story only if a lot of people are interested and want to know what happens next. Otherwise, I'll explore other universes and styles of Anime 😉 Tools: - Epidemic Sound (For sound effects) - Vidu AI (to transform frames into animation) - ElevenLabs (for certain expressions) When I say Vidu 2.0 is a game-changer, I mean it. I had already made my animation with the previous version of Vidu, but when they gave me access to the beta, I urgently changed my plans and recreated all the animations. Let me tell you, it's a whole new level. My first animation was ultra frustrating to bring my ideas to life! Really! And since Vidu couldn't handle many image styles, I clearly couldn't bring my ideas to life. But with Vidu 2.0, I enjoy it much more! For the first time, I really get to bring my ideas to life! Until now, I always had to make compromises. Of course, Vidu is still not perfect, and there are still many obstacles, but it is a truly magnificent advancement! (and it surpasses all the Anime-style AIs I've tested recently) Moreover, Vidu 2.0 is fantastic for special effects, but also for embedding elements into the video (like a hand that appears and interacts with the character, or another character; and the best part is that they perfectly match the style of the original images!) * The animations/images and voices are AI-generated * The SoundDesign is traditional and done by me * The story was entirely written by me (I don't use AI to create my stories, it's important to me to write them myself) The voices were generated thanks to Nijivoice (for secondary characters) and Hailuo Audio (for main characters). I thank Yachimat (yachimat - AI Short Anime) for introducing me to Nijivoice, it's very generous of him! During the beta, we didn't consume credits, otherwise, this animation would have cost me around 20,000 credits, ha ha. Vidu 2.0, with its superb stability and fidelity to the style of images, offers brand new horizons for storytelling! One problem with Vidu 2.0 is that for now, you have to manually extend videos (by exporting the last frame). As you can see, this allowed me to create long scenes with different actions, and everything fits together perfectly! There are still many obstacles to storytelling, such as character consistency (I use the image to video function; I produce my images with Nijijourney) and it's always laborious to have a consistent character! The same goes for backgrounds. Here are the points I've identified that would facilitate storytelling: For Vidu: - Function to extend videos (you can already do this manually by exporting the last frame) - Function to invent the beginning or end of a video using a single frame (you can already do this manually by putting a completely white or completely black image as the first or last frame; this technique also allows you to have very dynamic results with Vidu 2.0! ) - It's difficult to obtain facial expressions for certain image styles (the same image style that the previous version couldn't handle at all). - More dynamism There's always room for improvement, but Vidu 2.0 has truly opened up exciting new possibilities for creative storytelling. ai aiart aianimation aianime ainews anime animenews aitools aitool

I got the true ending in Saros and here is my review: -Incredibly addictive gameplay, makes you think “just one more run,” you really don’t want to stop -Visuals are amazing, runs great on PS5 Pro -Awesome DualSense features -Art direction is something special, mix of HR Giger and Dune with overwhelming, striking imagery -Brilliant sound design and a soundtrack that constantly drives you forward -Great level design, exactly the right mix of exploration, combat, and platforming sections -Facial animations are a clear step forward -Fantastic voice acting -Rewarding upgrade system, every run actually makes you stronger -Unbelievable boss fights, not only visually impressive but extremely demanding, beating them feels like pure dopamine -Shield mechanic to deflect enemy projectiles is great -I wouldn’t say it’s easier than Returnal, but rather more accessible, with difficulty that can be adjusted up or down through modifiers -WTF story moments -Great accessibility features (colour blindness, controller remapping and more) -The game works great for short play sessions -Playtime of around 15–20 hours -Interesting narrative, but Returnal’s story had a stronger impact on me -Enemy and weapon variety could be better -Not a fan of 30 FPS cutscenes -Conversations could be much more dynamic, with characters often just standing completely still SAROS is a true PS5 gem, driven by incredibly well-crafted and highly addictive gameplay. Turning pain into purpose 🧡 I never imagined my post would reach so many. If there is one theme and take away I have taken from it- it’s the shared desire from us all to simply know others care. It’s what makes us all human. It also highlighted just how many want to help but don’t know how. People who deeply care about their loved ones but didn’t reach out because they were afraid of saying the wrong thing or bothering them, not knowing the pain their absence or lack of words may have caused. I wanted to share because I’ve been on both sides of the fence, even as a cancer patient myself. This post was even partially inspired by my own guilt from a friend who passed recently- who I thought I’d have more time with. Someone I was in contact with often but wished I told them how much they meant to me. None of us are perfect and we all do the best we can but at the end of the day, it isn’t about big grand gestures or knowing the right words to take away the pain. It’s about simply being there through it. If you’re unsure what to say, here are a few examples that folks have crowd sourced of things that are impactful: 🔸“Just thinking about you” messages 🔸Pictures/gifs/videos 🔸Specific offers to help (bring food, watch pets, rides to appointments) 🔸Offers to help take care of household chores (lawn, house cleaning etc) 🔸Post cards/letters periodically to let them know they’re on your mind 🔸Care packages 🔸Texts/messages/calls (knowing they may not always respond) Little efforts go a long way ❤️ Many have asked how I’m doing since my post and I have to say I feel beyond fortunate to be where I am these days. Turning pain into purpose 🧡 I never imagined my post would reach so many. If there is one theme and take away I have taken from it- it’s the shared desire from us all to simply know others care. It’s what makes us all human. It also highlighted just how many want to help but don’t know how. People who deeply care about their loved ones but didn’t reach out because they were afraid of saying the wrong thing or bothering them, not knowing the pain their absence or lack of words may have caused. I wanted to share because I’ve been on both sides of the fence, even as a cancer patient myself. This post was even partially inspired by my own guilt from a friend who passed recently- who I thought I’d have more time with. Someone I was in contact with often but wished I told them how much they meant to me. None of us are perfect and we all do the best we can but at the end of the day, it isn’t about big grand gestures or knowing the right words to take away the pain. It’s about simply being there through it. If you’re unsure what to say, here are a few examples that folks have crowd sourced of things that are impactful: 🔸“Just thinking about you” messages 🔸Pictures/gifs/videos 🔸Specific offers to help (bring food, watch pets, rides to appointments) 🔸Offers to help take care of household chores (lawn, house cleaning etc) 🔸Post cards/letters periodically to let them know they’re on your mind 🔸Care packages 🔸Texts/messages/calls (knowing they may not always respond) Little efforts go a long way ❤️ Many have asked how I’m doing since my post and I have to say I feel beyond fortunate to be where I am these days. Finally new version of text system is released on our website ! I released as update to old version but in reality it's completely new thing in material and lot's of work in verse. I'm still working on documentation or/and videos but here is a list of good stuff it does: - Material got much lighter as slots logic moved to vertex shader. - Characters can overlap and still won't be cut out compared to old version. - Character can be animated and I already implemented some (wave, scale up/down and shake). - Custom face camera logic which works with prop scale so no need to additionally specify with and height. - Rows offset automatically when scale up or down any row. - Text effects now can be applied to any character, so words or single character. - Custom glint which works perfectly with any number of rows as a single line with multiple important controls. - Higher quality outline with two parameters to control inner and outer edge. - Timer logic split into to parts, verse and material. Verse setup initial layout and reserve slots for timer digits and then each second just sends seconds value and GPU makes timer tick freeing verse TPS by huge number. - To apply effects simply need use parsing markup with custom tag where N number between 1-9. So simply can write " Hello World" and word Hello will have rainbow effect applied. Currently implemented 4 effects. - To use icons in slots from texture array is as simple as specify another tag [iconN] where N is number of icon in array. So for example if coin is icon index 0 just need to write [icon1]100K. - Progress bar is supported as well and can be snapped to row without eyeball offset. - Background image supported now too! In the video yellow one is as test and you can use any of your own. Verse side got lots of changes: - Now saves/caches layouts better. - Smart packing of data allowed drastically reduce number of parameters, which should help with network optimization! - Instead having vector parameter per each slot to just send character index and position (32x5=160 if used 5 rows) now it's only 11 vector parameters per each row so 11x5=55 which is huge save and it sends text effects index in it too! - Implemented text update queue for text which doesn't require instant update. It helps to give more breathing for other text props which needs that speed. - Materials code now use interface and wrappers for cleaner work. Scarlett: I do have to admit that Zeudi and Maria Rosaria have changed my life with the aerosol. I've got to speak the truth. Zeudi: Do you remember when you judged me? Scar: I didn't judge you. Z: Yes, for the sound. Scar: Yeah, because obviously the sound of the aerosol is really loud, and Zeudi says to me that her whole family loves the sound of the aerosol. And when she sent me the YouTube recreation of the sound that they fall asleep to, I was like, "Oh my God, this is so intense. How?" And then when I started using the aerosol, I suddenly was like, I'm actually quite tired because it's quite ASMR, and now I get it. But her mum and her have literally saved my life with this because I have, or had, and I'm ashamed to admit it, an addiction to Sudafed Blue. It was actually quite severe. Five years strong. If I didn't have it on me, I would panic because my nose would get so blocked. Last time I was in Naples, I booked the wrong flight home. Look, happens to the best of us. Don't want to talk about it. It's actually an embarrassment at my age, but here we are. It's not the first time. I'm sure it won't be the last. And so I was panicking though because this is how bad it is. I was bargaining on getting back to the UK by midday because I'd ran out of my Sudafed blue, so I was like, "Right, I've got one spray left before I get to the UK, and then I've got it on speed dial." Because I knew they didn't have it in Italy. So first thing when I missed my flight is not, "Okay, I get to spend more time with my beautiful girlfriend." Sadly, my first thought is, "Shit, the Sudafed. What am I going to do?" So I can feel the panic in me rising. So Zeudi’s like, "Okay, don't worry. We go to my house. My mom will fix this." And I'm thinking, "No disrespect, but what could your mom possibly fix after five years?" And bless Maria Rosaria comes into the room with hot salt in a sock and starts dabbing my face. I'm sat there like, "what is going on?" And then Zeudi comes in with the aerosol kit, and I'm like, "Right, these Italians mean business." And I just surrender. Normally I'd be like, "No," but obviously I know better than to fight not one, but two Italian women, okay? So I'm just sat there like, they could've said, "Look, we're going to amputate your arm," and I would've just said, "Fair enough." And so Zeudi’s mom's dabbing my face with the salt and then holding the aerosol up my nose, and I'm just like... And then lo and behold, after an hour, I can suddenly blow my nose. Guys, I've not been able to blow my nose in four years. Long story short, I'm 11 days clean of Sudafed, all thanks to these two. And now… Zeudi: You can breathe. Scar: I can breathe and I can blow my nose again like a normal person. Five years, guys, five years through the British healthcare system and my two Italians fix it in one day. I made this product launch video over the weekend with just prompts It's all vibe coded There's something you should know, though: Like everyone else, a few days ago my timeline started getting full of videos like this when Remotion launched their Claude skill, so I decided to give it a go I was captivated by all the examples, so I started like everyone was saying: "just write a prompt" I typed the prompt, and it created an extremely bland, untasteful, stock-looking video 10 prompts in and it was not getting better. It was very, very bland. But at least it was something, so I kept going at it I ended up spending my entire weekend on this, 2-3 days of work. Only to realize my original reference videos that inspired me to get started were all fake Everyone was outright lying about their results. They all claimed "I made this with just one prompt", but it was just bait, they didn't really use Remotion or code at all, it was just a normal, human-made motion video Then you expand the X post and read the replies and they're all like "haha joke" in the comments, but their main post already got 1.5 million views and bamboozled everyone who didn't read further And this is a problem: when a viral trend happens, these posts flood your timeline, and you only realize that they're all noise and bait (and that they haven't even used the tools they claim) when you click through the post and read its comments. But 90% of people (like me, initially) just see the post on their timeline while scrolling, and assume it's all real. You don't go in to check every single post you see: you just like it, or save it for later, and carry on with your day, thinking what you saw was the real thing, and that it's all outstanding results, and that motion designers are really done And it's so anxiety inducing, because everyone is hyping their results, but most of it is just not true. I have stopped reading X lately because going in makes me so anxious, everyone is claiming extraordinary outlier results just for the views and clicks, and you feel like you're lagging behind and you're not good enough because you don't get those results So for this video I decided to actually take the tech out for a spin, and see what results I could really get out of it I used Remotion and Claude Code 4.5, but contrary to what everyone was claiming, this video was not "just a prompt". It was fully vibe coded, but it required much more than a prompt. It was multiple days worth of work Here's what I learned: - Making vibe coded videos with Remotion is ~10-20x slower than building app code. I've been wasting my Claude limits on this video - Everything takes a lot of manual work and reprompting. You often need to go frame by frame correcting tiny things - It makes very silly mistakes - Even Opus 4.5 has very very limited knowledge of spatial / visual things. It doesn't understand well z-indexes, layers, compositions, proportions, temporal coherence, etc. Claude Code feels extremely dumb when creating code for Remotion videos, which surprised me a lot, beacuse I had been mind blown by how incredibly well it worked with my Ruby on Rails SaaS codebases - You need to have some design knowledge to adjust things manually, you need to ask for exactly what you want, in the technical jargon it expects. You can't just say "make this more beautiful" or "animate this better" because it just creates slop - Right now vibe coded videos are promising, but I think I could have done this video faster just by doing it manually in After Effects. It really took that much work - If you have a creative idea for something you want to animate, it takes multiple hours of back and forth prompting to create just one or two seconds worth of **good** animation - Tip: PARAMETERIZE everything! It tends to hardcode magic numbers everywhere in the code, so if you change something earlier in the video timeline, everything else breaks. You want to essentially be creating "key frames" with code by telling it to parameterize every frame where something important happens, and calculate the rest of the keyframes based off that. This comes in handy when you need, for example, to adjust keyframes to match the music So in summary: vibe coded videos are promising, but right now it only works for very stock-looking videos unless you put in a ton of effort Maybe actually useful for 1-2 second web animations though, I'll try that next It will obviously get better, this feels like the quality of code generation in 2023-2024, you need to hold its hand and correct it at every step along the way.
