I find it interesting these “third world” “savage” countries seem to never blame the soldiers or people from the country invading them. But the U.S. and Israel will bomb children in the name of spreading democracy smh wild stuff.

The Americans thought it was going to be an easy war. The main problem for the GIs was that the Vietcong were ready to fight to the death. Americans, on the other hand, wanted to go back home as heroes and get their medals. I suspect the same thing will happen in Iran.

He missed an important aspect of these traps, maybe intentionally. Many of these spikes were coated with feces from Vietnamese soldiers. Most of these spikes don’t kill you, but the bacterial infections from feces caused unprecedented complications with US soldiers.

Imagine trying to pull yourself out of one of these mother fuckers while sitting on a bed of cancerous agent orange spray and napalm all around you… Vietnam was actual hell.

A bunch of boomers got caught up in this shit in the 60s and 70s.

My uncle is 83 and he got hit in both thighs and stopped one going to his chest with his rifle. The stories are so brutal and he has Agent Orange issues now but he would do it all over again to keep us all free.
