The person seen in the video has been identified as Ashok Kharat, a resident of Pune, Maharashtra, who claims to be an astrologer. He allegedly lured women in the name of “problem-solving,” called them to his office, intoxicated them, and then recorded objectionable videos using hidden cameras. These videos were reportedly used to blackmail the victims. There is one key question not for the government or administration, but for right-wing organizations: when will they protest against this accused? The women targeted by him do they belong to any “other” community? No. Then why the silence? When will there be calls for accountability or boycott in this case? In the same city, within a week, incidents were reported where people offering Iftar were attacked and beaten by extremists, and earlier, a Muslim man was allegedly humiliated in a disturbing manner. I am absolutely outraged. Muqbil Al Dhaheri, 26, has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a medical worker inside my local hospital. After that, he urinated in public in front of women and children outside the hospital. And now? He has been bailed back to Wethersfield. The exact same place I have been raising serious safety concerns about for months. This is everything I have been warning about. This is not scaremongering. This is not speculation. This is reality. By bailing him back there, authorities have once again created a situation where he could simply go missing, and the public are left carrying the risk.
