Prof Thuli must give us all the facts because there has been recent reports from experts who are unrelated to Jacob Zuma that the new nuclear build in the IRP 2011 was never corrupt. In fact, her support of Cyril who has advocated for the expensive IPPs in the IRP 2019, which was to decommission coal and removed our entire new nuclear build, plunging us into blackouts costing the country around R3 trillion in losses. Her support of nuking nuclear and implementing large scale RE IPPs wind and solar has also contributed to the excessive NERSA tariff hikes. Why didn’t Prof. Thuli analyse the impact of the IPP pre agreed tariffs on electricity prices for us. Additionally, Prof Thuli should give us her opinion on the case the DA lost when it claimed that the NERSA tariff hikes are extortionate.
