2 cases wherein a child was bvllied - How the parents reacted changed everything! Case 1 Amaira was 9 yrs old when she committed suesyde after being bvllied for 18 MONTHS! Some people criticized me for blaming the parents - but I'm sorry, if your kid is being bvllied for 18 months & you don't even bother changing her school & simply say "we kept complaining but the school didn't do anything" - you ARE at fault. How can a parent be so passive and apathetic to a child's plight? Imagine what a 9 year old would have gone through to jump & even have such thoughts. Case 2 Compare this to how this girl was protected by her father when she was bvllied by her teachers at age 14. When parents stand up for you & protect you, the child feels safe and happy. This gives them a very strong self esteem coz they subconsciously believe that they'll always be safe and supported. Not standing up for your child or being passive/apathetic is nothing short of a massive heartbreak for a child. The child feels isolated, unloved, neglected and lonely. It crushes their self esteem and makes them more vulnerable to toxic people in life - coz subconsciously they believe no one will help them. For a child - their whole world is their parents. And when supported by their parents, a child feels that the whole world is on their side. I wish every child could get parents like these.

Not understanding the cost that comes with any relationship where fear is used to gain control. And there are many costs. The first cause is the lack of trust. A child cannot trust an adult who cannot control their anger or temper. They start to develop hypervigilance from walking on eggshells. Always worried they’ll say or do the wrong thing. They also learn: I need to hide and keep secrets. Anyone raised in an authoritarian, dominating, or highly controlled environment knows this to be true. People from these homes become better at hiding and concealing. They begin to live a “double life” one in the home, and one outside. If a child is punished for the truth, they learn not to tell it. .Rep. Ted Lieu is spewing LIES about this case. He knows that ICE did NOT target a child and separate him from his family. The father CHOSE to take his child with him. When ICE conducted a targeted operation to arrest Adrian Alexander Conejo Arias, an illegal alien from Ecuador, on January 20th, Conejo Arias fled on foot—abandoning his child. For the child’s safety, one of our ICE officers remained with the child while the other officers apprehended Conejo Arias. Our officers made multiple attempts to get the alleged mother who was inside the house to take custody of her child. Officers even assured her she would NOT be taken into custody. The alleged mother refused to accept custody of the child. The father told officers he wanted the child to remain with him. Parents are asked if they want to be removed with their children or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates. This is consistent with past administrations immigration enforcement.
