I’ll rather remain here in Nigeria than try this route .. never

In the event they are fortunate enough to make it there alive, what next? What’s the plan? What’s the strategy? I see swathes of them on the streets of Italy doing nothing but begging, stealing and constituting a social nuisance.

May we not face the kinds of hardships that made these brothers attempt crossing the Sahara on foot 😢

Don't blame any government for the risk you singlehandedly take on your own. You used your money You planned your journey You didn't inform the government that you are traveling and need escorts. Why will you embark on a journey and still be blaming people that don't even know anything about your journey. Why can't they blame their parents for allowing you on such a journey?

@MCDOFF This is so sad. Worst, the leaders are too greedy to care about anything else but to steal and enrich themselves.

I lost a secondary schoolmate to this Sahara desert route I can't do this

The Japa syndrome among youths is the greatest help of Nigerian politicians. Why not focus this do-or-die energy to achieve a better government at home?

I belong to World Comment Viewers Association (WCVA). We are a non-violent organization, Our goal is to read and scroll to the next comment and smile. commenters should please, make their comment very brief as possible so that we can scroll to the next one. Thank you

Runaway cowards displaying huge arrogance & entitlement when they reach their destination, instead of fixing Nigeria. Ask South Africans, we experience this daily. They're just criminals here! @DIRCO_ZA @NigeriaGov @NICASAORG @NGRPresident @HomeAffairsSA @NigConsulate_SA

It breaks my heart seeing Nigerians with beautiful future ahead of them waste away because of poorly managed government with deepen corruption.
