Vijay's TVK Govt is very clear at showing the TN media their place. For long, TN media have been in the payrolls of DMK and have been publishing news favouring DMK, irrespective of whether DMK was in power or not. Every single scam and corruption was exposed either by politicians like Annamalai (DMK files) or independent youtubers like Savukku. The media played absolutely no role in that. Vijay's TVK Govt came to power only with the people support and the entire media, political parties and business ecosystem was against Vijay. Even today the media reporters ask only irrelevant questions and readily publish newscards that is against TVK. Their biggest pain today is that they are forced to cover any news where Vijay is involved as that is where the TRP is and people are glued only to that. The TVK Government's approach towards the Centre, and the future of Centre-State relations after TVK Vijay became Chief Minister, has become a talking point following today's NITI Aayog meeting. My reading is that TVK Vijay is currently adopting a strategic wait-and-watch approach towards the Union government. It may be confrontational on policy based issues, but is unlikely to directly attack the BJP politically or speak against the RSS in the manner the #DMK traditionally does. Its like "Okay, as long as Tamil Nadu is getting what it needs, I am happy. What is happening in Bengal or Jharkhand is not really my concern." The anti-BJP sentiment in #Tamilnadu has largely watered down, while the BJP itself remains politically limited in the state. TVK seems to understand this reality. For now, the party may maintain a balanced approach. However, as the 2029 elections draw closer, the tone could become sharper on policy matters. Given that the Congress is part of the alliance, there will also be expectations for CM TVK Vijay to take a more assertive stand against the BJP, though perhaps without making it a purely political confrontation. Chief Minister Joseph Vijay is fast becoming a political monster - “Vijay Aatchi” is here to stay! I am so so convinced that Vijay Joseph will turn out to be Arvind Kejriwal of Tamil Nadu. He won't survive more than one or two elections before getting exposed. DMK is at its weakest right now. AIADMK is finished. It is right time to bring Annamalai back into equation. He should be the face of Tamil Nadu BJP for the next 10 years.
