I think everyone knew Sam was starting out of training camp, but would he have been benched after the Titans game? Would he have performed just as well knowing his job was more on the line?

🏀 "I think it's only going to make us a better shooting team, a better shooting program. I'm proud to be a Noah customer." – Coach Garrison Unlock the full potential of your team with Noah Backboard. From better shots to better results, there’s a reason coaches choose Noah.

This is exactly the plan from the start even with a healthy JJ. Not sure why this needs to be continually beaten into the ground

And thus, this puts the kibosh (finally) on the tired old argument that McCarthy would've started had he been healthy.

Sounds like hes trying to convince himself.

Another fairytale a few people believed Jj was going to start. Haaa 🤦♂️

Of course he is going to say Sam. He has no reason to say JJ could have started if he didn’t get hurt.

Of course he is going to say that. Even if it wasn't week 1, which I 100% believe it would have been, there is no way Darnold finishes that disaster in Jacksonville.

McCarthy would've been starting

McCarthy not ready yet either IMO. Give him time to sit and learn. Sign Kirk to 2 year deal to start.

Smart money is on Sam Darnold. Most Viking fans are idiots.
