Spoiler Alert cause there shouldn’t be misunderstandings; the Protagonist DOESN’T let his father back in to his family’s or his own life, despite forgiving him (the mom doesn’t actually die here) since the Dad is fully sober and has a change heart, but the Son set up boundaries.
