Vincent Price's monologue in Michael Jackson's Thriller, it elevates the music video to another level.

@CountDraculaDB damn good classic from the the 80s funk

@CountDraculaDB I love that it was originally written for Cassandra "Elvira" Petersen but Quincey Jones's wife was friends with Vincent Price's wife and that was how he got it and Elvira was not mad she was like if I am gonna get bumped it at least it was for Vincent Price (from her memoir book)

@CountDraculaDB Without a doubt, the secret ingredient in a recipe for immortal perfection!

@CountDraculaDB John Carpenter’s narration in the beginning of Tech Noir by Gunship 🖤 Amazing stop motion video with pop culture refs of the 80s galore, too. Annnd it’s catchy af! A second song and video was released as well. Second one:

@CountDraculaDB I maintain that this is the first pop song to feature a 'guest rapper' over a decade before it became the norm.

@CountDraculaDB @RJCrowtherJr Vincent Price elevated everything he ever did. Legend.

@CountDraculaDB For no mere mortal can resist The Evil of The Thriller.

@CountDraculaDB

@CountDraculaDB to bad the Jackson family screw him over mr price didn't one cent for his voice

@CountDraculaDB @Intuitive_PS Vincent Price elevated everything to another level.

@CountDraculaDB Sad thing is, he took a flat rate to record it even though he was offered a percentage instead.

@CountDraculaDB

@CountDraculaDB The video definitely needed his voice

@CountDraculaDB

@CountDraculaDB 🎧

@CountDraculaDB It goes so hard. Seriously. Watching this as a kid is genuinely what got me into horror.

@CountDraculaDB On the album it said rap by Vincent price 💯

@CountDraculaDB Vincent Price was offered his $20K fee or a percentage of the profits for his work on the song. He chose the $20K.

@CountDraculaDB Lovely!

@CountDraculaDB 👍👍👍👍👍

@CountDraculaDB It really did

@CountDraculaDB Price turned down a percentage from the thriller sales for a flat fee. Ouch!

@CountDraculaDB And that squeaking door 🚪 And the laugh!!!

@CountDraculaDB Also, Rick Baker did a very good job with the makeup...
