My Dad has a 54 here he is when he brought cake to his cruise night on his birthday.

Expensive wagon. I recall dad making 50 bucks a week then, and it was all we could do to afford an old Chevy.

Before we had to worry about some stranger coming and opening your car up at the Walmart and helping themselves to whatever

"Who wants to bet just that tailgate is built better than any vehicle today?" 👍

My Mom saw one at the parking lot of Joske's of Texas in 1957 and came home to tell Dad, "I want that car". He tracked it down and bought it for her. Then he had it shipped to Germany when we moved there and traveled all over Europe on so many vacations for 3 years, then shipped it to California when he was transferred there. Mom finally let it go when Dad promised to buy her a Chrysler New Yorker station wagon in the 60's. We called that one, "the boat" because of the way the power steering made the craft pitch and yaw.

Station wagons were so practical. Spacious, not too high and had a two-way tailgate.

In case you didn't listen to the audio, it's a 1955 Chrysler Town & Country station wagon.

that car is mint and looks brand new. i was thinking it would be easy to steal if the window wound down from the outside

The ‘55 Plymouth wagon has a rear-facing seat. I crossed the US with my parents looking backwards for the entire trip.

You'll only get beautiful tech like that in a high trust society..!

I had the pleasure of meeting John last Saturday. He has 5 of these, I asked him to bring the red one tomorrow. Thanks for posting!

That guy dresses like me. It’s the old guy uniform. 😁

Some of my relatives tell me that they use to leave the car parked with the windows down and with the keys on the dashboard

So baut(e) man Autos, mit Ideen und ästhetischen Design Mit Handkuss, würde ich jederzeit wieder ein altes Auto den neuen ( sorry) hässlichen vorziehen 🤔 @MercedesBenz @BMW @AudiOfficial

@HillChris71911 Gorgeous vintage car!! ❤️

55 or 6 Beautiful Chrysler

A car like that is art on wheels.

Even works when the battery is dead!

Vintage cars are worth every penny

That's a great color...

That’s beautiful design ! It looks good & works very well & not a computer chip of sensor involved - marvellous 👏👏👏

А всю машину целиком нельзя было показать?

Memories

I love it!

💘

Beach Wagon !!!!!

Nice car

Both the car and the elderly gentleman are very cool.

Every once in a while, my son talks me into working security at an old car show and damn.

No way !

i have to pay 40 euros to buy a new switch for my electric window, and then i gotta have it put in which is probably another 40, i just wish i could wind it up and down by hand like the old days.

Cool ! The year I was born.

Right. You had to crank that window up or down. They advised not having it open when driving as you might suck in exhaust gases. And the rear-facing seat there.

❤️

I did that too in the 60's grandparents car
