I think just the way cricket is marketed in India is responsible for most of my depression. It's always about how we are gonna win every single thing. Just got a notification from Hotstar saying "India just need 7 wickets for a historic victory". Even the champions trophy they're promoting by showing clips of us winning T20 WC and saying we will win again. We know how the 3-0 ad campaign with New Zealand backfired. It makes the fans feel like they were baited to support a much shittier team. Why can't it be about the game, why is it always about winning? That's also why Indian fans are so insufferable on social media. The marketing has brainwashed them into thinking we are the greatest team to walk on the planet.

Its okay we lost, we've been holding onto BGT for past 10 years. But the only problem I have is that they came here to sush us whereas we went there to blabber and gabble. Sad to see but hopefully changes takes place for the good of ICT. 🙁
