Viserys is far too weak-willed! Viserys only acted strong when he faced Daemon. He was a weak king and never listened to his brother or even understood his intentions

Pretty sure if Daemon apologised and showed remorse for his comments, Viserys would have been happy to forgive his brother. But alas, Daemon has to keep digging his hole. Aegon created the Iron Throne as a reminder that the King should never relax. The moment King Viserys relaxes, he cuts himself. The cut that will end his life. Well, according to official records."

To Daemon, the letter was a royal insult. He started the war in the Stepstones to prove he could succeed without the Crown. King Viserys refused aid for three years, and sending help now felt like condescension. Waiting for reinforcements would credit Viserys with victory, so Daemon charged alone to claim it himself. The letter's patronizing tone suggested Daemon was struggling, igniting his pride. His solo charge was a defiant act to avoid gratitude, ending with the Crabfeeder's defeat.

Most people don’t know: Daemon Targaryen was officially Viserys heir to the Iron Throne, until he opened his mouth. Daemon walked into a brothel after VISERY baby died and toasted: ‘The Heir for a Day” One stupid joke at his brother’s wife & newborn son’s funeral “An heir for a day’ and Viserys stripped him of everything. He named Rhaenyra heir instead. This single moment started the Dance of the Dragons 🐉💀 That single act destroyed Targaryen family #hotd #viserys #hotd3 #deamon

Daemon helps his dying brother Viserys reach the throne and crown him. The emotional scene in House of the Dragon (Season 1, Episode 8, "The Lord of the Tides") where Daemon Targaryen helps his dying brother, King Viserys, to the Iron Throne and places the crown back on his head was largely improvised. Very frail, masked King Viserys makes a final, agonizing walk to the Iron Throne to defend Rhaenyra's succession rights. While walking, Viserys's crown falls off his hand Actor Matt Smith (Daemon) mickart While walking, Viserys's crown falls off his head. Actor Matt Smith (Daemon) picked it up and, rather than stopping the scene, continued by placing it back on Paddy Considine's (Viserys) head. This moment symbolizes the reconciliation of their complex, often strained relationship. Daemon, who spent years craving his brother's approval and being deemed a threat to the throne, shows pure, quiet loyalty by acting as his brother's support.

The crown Viserys wanted is finally his but he pays the ultimate price. His arrogance blinded him to the shift in power, and his threats toward Daenerys lead to his undoing. As the molten gold flows, the frightened girl is gone forever. With a single, icy sentence, Daenerys confirms what we all see: Viserys was never a dragon! 🐲 🔥

Viserys announces that he will marry Alicent. And for me, this is where the Dance of the Dragons truly begins. Instead of uniting two old Valyrian houses, he creates a rival line inside his own family His children will die His grandchildren will die His brother Daemon and Princess Rhaenys will die Dragons will die People will die The main guilty people are right here in this room: Viserys Targaryen, Otto Hightower and Alicent Hightower

This scene alone made it clear that Viserys had never changed his mind about Rhaenyra being the rightful heir. Even as a dying man, barely able to stand, he dragged himself into that room to defend his daughter and her claim to the Iron Throne. Watching the Greens’ carefully planned council fall apart the moment Viserys appeared was absolutely epic. He was basically a walking corpse, yet still managed to command the entire room one final time. Viserys really defended Rhaenyra to the very end.

What was really killing Viserys? From episode 1, House of the Dragon shows us that Viserys is already suffering from a strange illness. The Iron Throne cuts him, and the wound simply refuses to heal Many people called it a form of leprosy. But if it was leprosy, it was a very strange one. Alicent was his wife. They had children. Rhaenyra was close to him, hugged him, touched him. And no one around Viserys got sick Or maybe the theory is right: the Iron Throne never accepted Viserys

The Greens “won” the war: Aegon II fed Rhaenyra to Sunfyre and sat on the Iron Throne for about six months. Then he was poisoned, His last surviving child, Jaehaera died without children. Only Rhaenyra’s sons with Daemon survived the Dance of the Dragons. Aegon III inherited the Iron Throne, and after witnessing his mother being killed by a dragon, he came to hate dragons. He never rode one, and during his reign the dragons eventually went extinct. After Aegon III, his brother Viserys II became king. Their bloodline leads directly to Aegon V “Egg” and Daenerys. The war was won by one side, but the dynasty was won by the other. Ice and Fire 🔥🐉

Nobody will be in Daemon’s shoes and not be worn out or tired. Without Daemon, Rhaenyra wouldn’t have been Queen 💯💯 Daemon was against the dragonseeding. He commands the biggest military force in the show. Without Daemon, there’s no Team Black. He doesn’t fight with a dragon, yet he has the strongest dragon in the show. If Viserys,Rhaenys and Rhaenyra had listened to Daemon, the Greens wouldn’t have existed. Yet people still blamed the same man who sacrificed everything for these ungrateful people 💔💔

Nathan, King Oyo’s cousin, brother and close associate, pays tribute to the late King: “When we went for the Special Forces Command, His Majesty was always the best. He always pushed himself and was a strong man. He loved his family, he loved his friends, and he took care of us. Let’s stay strong and keep pushing forward. Let’s carry on his legacy—we all know what he wanted.”

crazy how some people think daemon is nothing without his dragon when he literally went all alone to fight a whole ass army because he felt like his brother was undermining him.
