A video shows Israeli settler children attacking Palestinian civilians in Khirbet at-Tawil in the occupied West Bank. Israeli settlers are now involving their own children in attacks and harassment against Palestinians—raising another generation and teaching them to terrorize Palestinians, attack them, invade their property, and treat violence against them as acceptable.

Palestinian officials say a group of Israeli settlers attacked the village of Tal, opened fire on residents, and that Israeli soldiers later joined in the shooting. The Israeli military says Palestinians attacked Israeli civilians who were hiking nearby, and that one Palestinian grabbed a weapon from a local security official and opened fire. The incident comes amid growing concern over a rise in settler violence across the West Bank.

“I live in a small town in the West Bank… 85 percent of the [population] is American citizens… We’re facing settler violence on a daily basis… They commit ethnic cleansing tactics of Palestinians by pushing Palestinians out of their lands and of course, many of these Palestinians are Americans, like myself. I myself have lost access to more than 5,000 acres that I own.” Palestinian American lawyer Yaser Alkam details the daily violence inflicted upon his community in the West Bank by Israeli settlers—noting that most of the population in his small village suffering from these attacks are American citizens. Last night (Tuesday), 24 February, at around 8:00 P.M about 20 Israeli settlers raided the village of Khirbet Susiya, in the South Hebron Hills. They attacked homes and cars with stones, and set fire to three tents, a pre-fab, chicken coops and cars at several spots throughout the village. About 300 people live in the village, half of them minors. They are subjected to daily violence by settlers and the military, with the backing of all Israeli state authorities. Footage also shows a group of settlers trying to damage cameras to prevent documentation of the attack. None of the assailants were detained. Yesterday’s attack on Khirbet Susiya is part of Israel’s broader onslaught against Palestinians, who remain defenseless in the face of unchecked violence by militias and the Israeli military. Israel’s ethnic cleansing in the West Bank has so far displaced more than 4,000 Palestinians from their homes, with 51 communities expelled in their entirety and 14 communities in part. The daily violence towards Palestinians in the West Bank continues as Israel maintains a system of military occupation and systemic impunity for settler violence, while the international community stands by.

“He returned to his home only to find settlers roaming freely!” Palestinian-American citizen Louay Abu Rida, a resident of Ohio, recounts the details of his difficult journey to reach his home in the village of Qusra in the occupied West Bank, more than a week after it was besieged by settlers. The Israeli occupation army declared the area a closed military zone, and Abu Rida was only able to reach the house under military escort, only to be surprised that settlers were still roaming freely despite the imposed siege.

⚡️BREAKING: Israeli settlers, backed by Israeli forces, launched a violent attack on the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. They set fire to homes and vehicles, threw stones at unarmed civilians, and destroyed property. These attacks are part of a systematic campaign, fully supported by the extremist Israeli government, to damage Palestinians financially and forcibly displace them for settlement expansion. Armed Israeli soldiers in civilian clothes also took part in the assault.

Happening now in the occupied West Bank: the Israeli occupation has gone wild. An Israeli terrorist settler wearing an army helmet tried to break into my house. He brought an Israeli army soldier with him to facilitate his entry. Israeli soldiers and settlers are working together to terrorize and intimidate Palestinians across the West Bank. This is not isolated settler violence. It is a dangerous pattern of settlers operating with the protection, presence, or complicity of Israeli forces.

"They think they're above the law. And nobody is going to stop them." Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have surged past 1,200 so far this year, at an average of six a day. Arson has become one of the most common tactics, with mosques, homes, and cars set on fire nearly daily. Drop Site's Maysa Mustafa spoke with Maisoon Ali in the village of Deir Dibwan, who has survived repeated settler attacks, including one where settlers tried to burn her home down while she and her husband were inside. Ali says she has no one to turn to. Not the Palestinian Authority, which has no jurisdiction in Area C, and not the Israeli military, which she says protects the settlers instead. Her only recourse is the country on her second passport, the U.S. — the same one whose weapons are being used against her. This week alone, at least 6 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank amid settler violence, 4 of them on Friday in a settler raid on the town of Tell near Nablus. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, that brings the toll since the start of the year to 86 Palestinians killed by Israelis across the West Bank, more than 20 of whom were shot by settlers.

After hours of waiting in line at the soup kitchen, and enduring long hunger, the children's joy today is simple but immense... Rice in their hands, eating in the street before returning to their families. A moment of innocence amid the cruelty of hunger and life.

Israeli occupation soldiers expel about twenty families from various homes in the village of Kusra and take over their rooftops, concurrent with settlers besieging homes and dozens of them hiding on the outskirts of the village to avoid evacuation by the army. The village residents face an uncertain fate amid legitimate questions regarding the timing of their return and the criteria for selective evacuation.

Israeli settlers continue to terrorise Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank, setting fire to homes, vehicles and a mosque in another attack on civilians. Families were forced to flee as property was destroyed, leaving communities devastated and living in fear. The Israeli government continues to shield violent settlers from accountability, while Israeli forces have repeatedly been accused by human rights organisations of protecting settlers during attacks, failing to intervene, and in some cases using force against Palestinians instead of stopping the violence. This entrenched lack of accountability has allowed settler attacks to increase with few consequences.

Israel has been working to oust Palestinians from the South Hebron Hills for many years. Efforts intensified after October 2023, and since then, hundreds of organized attacks against local Palestinian residents and shepherds have been recorded. In January 2026 alone, more than 200 attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians were documented in villages in the area. Over the course of this time, settlers invaded Palestinian-owned farmland and killed two local residents. Settler militias operate as an informal arm of the state: armed with military-issued weapons and riding ATVs and horses, they invade communities under the protection of military forces, who either turn a blind eye to the violence or take an active part in it. The violence in the South Hebron Hills is part of the policy of ethnic cleansing that Israel is implementing throughout the West Bank. To the full report >>
