This is one of the best videos to ever exist for entrepreneurs, creators... I think about it often. In 2016, Pharrell Williams visited a NYU music production class to critique student songs. At the beginning you could see student "Maggie Rogers" drenched with the absolute terror of sharing this with him. Pharrell is there just trying to keep his excitement in. The guy couldn’t wait to tell her this song is the bee’s knees. After he listened to a song called “Alaska”, he explained why “I have zero, zero, zero notes for that:” 24 hours later, someone posted the clip to Reddit. It blew up and the rest is history. Grammy nominated, millions of followers etc. And Maggie responded to the Reddit thread (i'll share screenshot in the next tweet). This story I find so cool because it inspires other artists to share what they got. We all can all connect with the fear of showing our work. It ain't easy. And to have a unique POV like Maggie. Easy to copy, harder to have something unique. I’ve got a bunch of designs, creations that have never seen the light of day. This video inspires me to publish more. My point of sharing this video: Publish your art anonymously. Or publish your art proudly as yourself. Bonus points if it's one of a kind work. But publish your darn art. This is your new week's energy. This is your 2024 energy. Go get 'em. -- If you enjoyed this, go listen to some Maggie Rogers. And thank you to Pharrell for being so supportive to an up and comer. And go follow me for more stories like this GREG ISENBERG, so you get more of it in your feed I share stories about internet communities, free startup ideas and more. Stanford professor Judy Fan went on stage at MIT and broke down why humans are so good at making the invisible visible... And why AI hasn't actually learned to "see" the way we do. It completely changes how you think about Human Intelligence v/s Artificial Intelligence: 1. Nature never gave us straight lines or sharp corners. The number line, the coordinate plane, even basic geometry are all human inventions. We created tools that do not exist in nature simply because we needed a way to think more clearly. 2. The coordinate system Descartes invented solved a problem that had stumped mathematicians for centuries, doubling the volume of a cube. Once invented, this tool became so indispensable that virtually every math curriculum on Earth still depends on it. 3. Humans have been doing this for at least 30,000 to 80,000 years. The story of human progress is inseparable from the story of marking up our environment, from cave walls to Galileo's telescope to Feynman diagrams of particles we will never see with our own eyes. 4. Every major scientific breakthrough relied on a visual tool that made something invisible visible. Darwin needed side-by-side illustrations of finches to see variation that was otherwise too subtle to notice. Cajal needed detailed drawings of neurons under a microscope to map how the nervous system was wired. 5. Fan's research group studies something deceptively simple: how people decide what to put into a drawing and what to leave out. When two people played a drawing game, sketchers used far more detail when the target object had close competitors than when it stood alone, all the way down to using fewer strokes and less time when more detail was not necessary. 6. People are not just copying what they see. They are making constant judgment calls about what level of detail actually serves the goal of communication, and they do this naturally without ever being taught the theory behind it. 7. There is a real difference between drawing something so someone can identify it and drawing something so someone can understand how it works. In one study, participants drew explanatory diagrams that emphasized moving, causal parts of a machine while depictive drawings emphasized background and overall appearance, even though both were drawing the exact same object. 8. Explanatory drawings were genuinely better at helping someone figure out how to operate a machine, but worse at helping someone identify which machine it actually was. You cannot optimize a single drawing for both goals at once. Communication always involves tradeoffs. 9. AI vision models trained on photographs generalize surprisingly well to simple, sparse sketches, suggesting that resemblance based recognition is not just a story we tell ourselves. It is something modern neural networks can replicate with real accuracy. 10. But there remains a large, measurable gap between how confidently AI models recognize sketches and how confidently humans do, even when both groups answer the same questions about the same images. Humans are simply far more reliable and far more consistent in their judgments. 11. When researchers compared human-made sketches to AI-generated sketches under tight stroke budgets, both were similarly recognizable at higher budgets, but diverged sharply as the budget shrank. Humans and AI systems simplify drawings in fundamentally different ways once resources get scarce. 12. Reading a graph is not one single skill. It involves perception, knowing where to look, mapping that visual information onto the actual question being asked, and then translating that mapping into an answer. Each of these steps can independently break down, and people fail for very different underlying reasons even when they land on the same wrong answer. 13. When tested directly against humans on graph reading tasks, leading multimodal AI models, including GPT-4V, showed a meaningful performance gap. Even when a model's overall accuracy approached human levels, its pattern of mistakes looked nothing like how humans actually get things wrong. 14. People choose entirely different types of charts depending on what specific question they are trying to answer, not out of a generic preference for bar charts or scatter plots. Their chart choices closely tracked which visualization would genuinely help someone answer that specific question correctly. 15. Two of the most widely used graph literacy tests in education research turned out to correlate strongly with each other, suggesting they measure overlapping skills. But when researchers dug into the actual error patterns, the standard categories used in textbooks, like "find the maximum" or "identify a cluster," failed to explain why people got things wrong nearly as well as a more basic, underlying four-factor model did. 16. The deepest goal behind all of this research is not just academic curiosity. It is to eventually help students and everyday people develop genuine literacy with the visual tools that science and modern decision-making increasingly depend on, because every generation should be able to see further than the last by standing on the visual tools the previous generation built. The power of the Claw, in the palm of a robot hand. Agentic robotics is here! Today, we open-source CaP-X: vibe agents, alive in the physical world. They incarnate as robot arms and humanoids with a rich set of perception APIs, actuation APIs, and auto synthesize skill libraries as they go. CaP-X is a strict superset of our old stack, because policies like VLAs are “just” API calls as well. It solves many tasks zero-shot that a learned policy would struggle with. And we are doing much more than vibing. CaP-X is our most systematic, scientific study on agentic robotics so far: - We build a comprehensive agentic toolkit: perception (SAM3 segmentation, Molmo pointing, depth, point cloud), control (IK solvers, grasp planner, navigation), and visualization (EEF, mask overlays) that work across different robots. - CaP-Gym: LLM’s first Physical Exam! 187 manipulation tasks across RoboSuite, LIBERO-PRO, and BEHAVIOR. Tabletop, bimanual, mobile manipulation. Sim and real. Can’t wait to see the gradients flow from CaP-Gym to the next wave of frontier LLM releases. - CaP-Bench: we benchmark 12 frontier LLMs/VLMs (Gemini, GPT, Opus, Qwen, DeepSeek, Kimi, and more) across 8 evaluation tiers. We systematically vary API abstraction level, agentic harness, and visual grounding methods. Lots of insights in our paper. - CaP-Agent0: a training-free agentic harness that matches or exceeds human expert code on 4 out of 7 tasks without task-specific tuning. - CaP-RL: if you get a gym, you get RL ;). A 7B OSS model jumps from 20% to 72% success after only 50 training iterations. The synthesized programs transfer to real robots with minimal sim-to-real gap. 3 years ago, our team created Voyager, one of the earliest agentic AI that plays and learns in Minecraft continuously. Its key ideas — skill libraries, self-reflection loops, and in-context planning — have since influenced many modern agentic designs. Today, the agent graduates from Minecraft and gets a real job. It’s April Fool’s, but this Claw is getting its hands dirty for real! Link in thread:

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY YOU MIGHT not realize how fortunate we are as Americans to be able to celebrate love on Valentine’s Day. Before 1988, when I was a young woman living in China, it never even occurred to me that such celebrations should even exist. During the Cultural Revolution and many years beyond that, love was a forbidden subject. We were only allowed to show our “love” in public when it was our love for Chairman Mao, the Communist Party, and the motherland. Even expressing love to an immediate family member would be criticized. Couples caught holding hands together in public would be humiliated. My parents would call each other “male comrade” and “female comrade” instead of “husband and wife.” Gender and beauty were canceled. Girls were required to wear unisex clothing and have approved hairstyles. Feminine clothing and behaviors were not tolerated. Wearing makeup was not accepted. Youth were strictly forbidden to date during school years. The girls were encouraged to rat out suitors by turning over love letters they received from boys. The boys would then be lectured by the teachers, notes were sent home to their parents, with their violations recorded in their STUDENT FILE, a secret document kept on each student by the government. I was forced to apologize in school for being too “sentimental” because I kept a photo album. When I had a “puppy love” during my middle school and high school years I told myself to keep it quiet, as even my friends would turn me in. Romantic songs and art were banned. We were only allowed to sing red songs to show affection to Mao and the CCP. The artwork on posters and walls were about collective love and loyalty to our leaders, never to family or friends. Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin and Mao were the focus of our directed “love.” For example, the lyrics to one popular song we had to sing in school went like this: “My parents are dear, but Chairman Mao is dearer.” Spouses were urged to report on each other, children were brainwashed to turn on their parents. In my college freshman year, we were warned by the Communist Party Law School Secretary “don’t think about dating or marriage; focus on your studies to build China.” Of course, some of us rebelled against CCP rule, at least in secret. Things started to change publicly when a romantic novel was published. It caused a national firestorm; the novel, “Love shall not be forgotten,” was about romance: a woman and a man who put their own happiness first in a society that values sacrifice. Finally, the dating bans and dancing party bans were lifted. After I came to America, I read a book written by a defector and former personal doctor to Mao. He revealed that Mao engaged often in dancing parties and had as many young women as he wanted during the Cultural Revolution. At the same time, the powerless were being kept down by a party and told they should not live a “capitalist’s lifestyle.” My family and I were eyewitnesses to the true communism that exists in reality. You see, the reality for the perfectible socialist man — is a place where utopian promises never come. It is, instead, a place of hatred, division, envy, oppression, poverty and suffering. It is a place where there is destruction of love, families, individuals, human nature and humanity. Today, in America and outside of China, I am free to wear whatever I want; I can pursue beauty, express my feelings and opinions freely. And yet, ironically, I see too many young people in America idealizing socialism and communism. Just recently I was informed by a young Twitter commentator “You did not survive REAL communism. Real communist society has never existed.” This is a shocking lie and propaganda. The real communism I lived in is the same one that has exterminated nearly 100 million people this last century. I sometimes wonder if the victims of real communism are turning over in their graves because of what many young Americans now believe. Have these real victims of communism been forgotten so easily? Valentine’s Day is a time I will always treasure. I am happy to see people celebrate love. Love is a part of family life and individual freedom, expression, and desire that must not be suppressed or eradicated. So, I want to invite you to celebrate this Valentine’s Day with me, to celebrate one of our most profound, precious, and powerful human emotions — love. It is love that will keep alive the memories of those millions who died under communism. (My op-ed was published by UnionLeader.com in 2023)

TOPIC # 94: LET'S CONQUER THE "ENEMY"! Where is our enemy? Do we have an enemy? Why I always fail? Why people always against me? This is an important question we need to ask ourselves. Many people tend to see enemies only in the outside world, overlooking the internal struggles we face within ourselves. To truly improve our relationships and make a positive impact on the world, we must first conquer our own selfishness, doubts, timidity, greed, anger, ignorance, and arrogance. By addressing these internal "enemies," we can approach the outside world with greater peace and efficiency. Today in the Pi Network, we often demand OM for KYC, migration or OM or money. However, we must understand that merely demanding something will not help us achieve our goals. It’s similar to a child wanting candy; they may resort to various tactics to threaten their parents. If the parents know how to educate their children, they will not give in to the child’s cries. The same principle applies to the Pi Network. Only when we conquer our internal “enemies” can we fully understand the vision and mission of the Pi Network. When we grasp this understanding, we will firmly support all strategies and actions related to CT. If you don’t understand the meaning of CT, it is wise to follow the guidance from the Global GCV CT team, as we have over 30 experienced professionals with collective wisdom. I understand that the GCV community may be struggling to grasp our strategic change following the launch of the Open Network. The ecosystems and the exchange markets seem to be in opposition, but in reality, they are like siblings—one may be older, but both come from the same parents. Today, we emphasize that the exchange market is essential for a long-term sustainable ecosystem. When we talk about the ecosystem, we refer to two main components: the technical part and the economic part. The CT (Core Team) is focused on the technical aspects, such as coding, developing 100 Dapps, and implementing the Know Your Business (KYB) procedures. Meanwhile, the Pioneers are working on value and pricing to ensure the healthy development of the ecosystem. In this analogy, the CT is like the hardware, while the Pioneers are akin to the software. Just as you need both hardware and software to run a computer, we need both components for our ecosystem. During the enclosed mainnet, we worked hard to establish the GCV price at $314,159. This success is reflected in the source code. Now, we need all ecosystem participants to agree on a single price so that all Pioneers can use Pi to purchase products and pay for services using full Pi payments. To achieve this, we must stabilize Pi as a stablecoin. How can we gain global recognition for GCV? The answer lies in the exchange market. No matter how much GCV data we produce, the outside world cannot see it or acknowledge it. This is why our call for Pi buyback is critical for ecosystem development. I have noticed considerable resistance towards the buyback. After investigating those who oppose it, I found that many of them come from other cryptocurrency backgrounds, and some Pioneers have colluded with them to mislead others. Their goal appears to be preventing Pi from successfully reaching GCV on the exchange market. This is reflected in the choice of the song "Enemy" from the series Arcane: League of Legends for our second conference promotional video. The song brilliantly captures themes of rivalry, betrayal, and personal growth. It speaks to the conflicts we face with others and the battles we fight within ourselves. At its core, "Enemy" focuses on relationships—with others and oneself. It addresses dealing with doubters and the inner voice that sometimes breeds self-doubt, while also conveying a message of hope: overcoming these challenges is possible. Music has therapeutic effects, as modern neurophysiological research indicates that it directly impacts the nervous system, influencing the regulation of internal organs and bodily functions. Different pieces of music, each with unique rhythms, speeds, pitches, and timbres, can have calming, energizing, analgesic effects, as well as regulate heart rate and lower blood pressure. I urge all Pioneers: if you want our OM to succeed with the GCV price, please actively share our information everywhere, especially the promotional video and messages for the 2nd Global Pioneers Conference. The music has the power to awaken many pioneers from deep within their hearts. This conference is not only for GCV community but for all Pi Network community or even non-users from Pi Network. The more you disseminate our message, the closer we will get to achieving your financial freedom goals. You may not fully understand our strategy right now, but if you choose to follow our guidance, you will see results. Trusting in a visionary team is crucial, as unity leads to success! Are you ready, Global Pioneers? We are excited to announce that our 2nd Global Pioneers Conference will be held on May 25, 2025 at 7am USA EST. This time, our theme is: "Building a Sustainable Ecosystem with GCV – Merchants as the Foundation." The Four Critical Tasks are as follows: 1. Buy Back Pi By creating real demand, we can defend the value of Pi through purposeful participation. 2.Register Merchants on the Map of Pi Merchants are the heart of the Pi economy. Their visibility and acceptance are essential for growth. 3.Promote Bartering and Partial PI Payments Encouraging the real-world use of Pi, especially through flexible payment methods, demonstrates its true utility. 4.Repost with Purpose and Belief in GCV Through consistent, purpose-driven communication, we can spread awareness, inspire action, and strengthen our community. Together, these actions lay the foundation for a thriving, sustainable ecosystem where merchants play a crucial role in driving us forward. Let’s continue to act boldly and build a future that benefits us all. Doris Yin 🪷🪷🪷 Founder, Global GCV Movement P.S. Regarding the SANA bus, the visual design wasn't actually my top priority. Obviously, the bus's design centers around the phrase "NO SANA NO LIFE." The two sides have completely different styles. One side depicts her cute, radiant, smiling self—the side that deeply moved and attracted me initially. The other side shows her as she is now, still constantly trying new styles during her solo stages in this concert. The original "NO SANA NO LIFE" was about the cute "shy shy shy." Now, SANA has developed many new dimensions to "NO SANA NO LIFE." She is a perfect woman with a perfect figure and perfect face. "NO SANA NO LIFE" has become a dangerous and deadly attraction. I wanted to express that SANA is still the same SANA, but she has grown and improved tremendously. As my Japanese friend says, SANA is now a goddess-like woman. I don't know if SANA remembers, but during our first video call fan sign meeting, I played a video for you. It was of you from six years ago, still singing "shy shy shy," looking into the loving eyes of ONCE and vowing to protect them and become strong. I told you that you've done it, and done it well. So, in the lower right corner of the bus, there's a small line of text. I remember it's something SANA once said during a live broadcast: "나안 쓰러져 나 그렇게 약한 여자 아니야 나만 믿고 따라와 내가지켜줄게" (I won't fall. I'm not that kind of weak woman. Just believe in me and follow me. I'll protect you). This heart that wants to protect fans, this sense of responsibility to protect TWICE, this desire to become strong—this is what truly defines the kind of person SANA is. It hasn't just contributed to her tremendous growth now, but also to the great achievements she will likely attain in the future. It was only this year that I learned just how incredibly busy and exhausting SANA's schedule has been, even years after her debut. It was also around this time that I realized how immensely SANA is nourished by love. The wave-like love during concerts, the frantic shouts at offline events—this overwhelming love gives SANA tremendous energy in return. It enables her to achieve things she originally couldn't. When SANA can feel each fan's love, and can shoulder this responsibility to continually give back to the fans, when SANA's heart is full of abundant energy, when SANA becomes synonymous with sincerity, beauty, and radiance—then her current achievements are an inevitable result. SANA can accomplish anything. So I will never forget our first offline fan sign, when you looked at me with loving, gentle eyes and took the initiative to show concern for me. Those eyes made my heart flutter intensely. They made me truly understand what kind of person SANA is. That sincere, beautiful, and grateful SANA. Over the past 19 months, I've been under immense pressure due to various problems. I often think of her eyes late at night, imagining how SANA endures such pressure herself, how she constantly strives to meet fans' expectations. I often think about SANA's past, and how she has journeyed all this way. She must also get extremely exhausted, even so busy that large chunks of memory are lost, just like me. I once passionately loved the SANA of the past, I've personally felt the presence of the current SANA, and I will always love the future SANA. Not only because SANA has shown me a possibility of what a human can be—truly combining intelligence, beauty, cuteness, an excellent figure, grace, empathy, and ambition—but also because the SANA of the past, present, and future will always look at me with the same eyes, the same gaze, that makes my heart feel like it's weeping. "NO SANA NO LIFE" is now, for me, the most correct way to live. You are everything I wish to be but cannot become. Whenever you are loved, a part of my heart feels loved too. I love you.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, millions of people watched their governments lock them down, shut their businesses, and demand compliance with no constitutional authority to do so. Most people complied. I started researching as to where the government had the authority to force all that to happen. I found it. This year I enrolled in paralegal school. Much like Erin Brokovich exposed the coverup at PG & E, this was something I couldn't unsee. I had already independently researched our rights, operating lawfully outside conventional financial and legal systems since 1999. The pandemic made me formalize that knowledge, then share it at scale. Here is what I see every day. Hardworking Americans hand over money they were never required to hand over. Their paycheck gets withheld before they ever touch it. Their 401k, IRA, and Roth sit locked inside a system that profits from their compliance and punishes their freedom. They were told this is just how it works. They were told they need a CPA, an attorney, or permission. They were told wrong. You already have the right to keep your hard earned money. It's your private property covered under the first and fourth Amendments. You already have the right to exit the I-R-S obligation as you have a right to self determination, stop the withholding, and put your retirement back under your own control. Most people just never learned how to exercise it. Scott Bessent told the American people on April 15th, 2026, they they control their status. I show taxpayers, business owners, and retirees how to lawfully reclaim financial control by exercising the rights they already have. Real freedom. Real wealth. Tax free, and fully under your control, with no liabilities and no permission needed. I exited the IRS contract in 1999 and have never heard from them since. I am the only results verified educator in this space, and I will show you exactly how it is done. But do not take my word for it. Hundreds of Americans have shared what happened when they stopped asking permission and started exercising their rights. Real names, real results, real freedom reclaimed. Read them for yourself at the link in my bio. Your money. Your retirement. Your rights. Ready to take back control? Go to Call Gianna dot com to book a call with me. We will assess your Financial Freedom, review your retirement and your funds, and map out how to put all of it back under your control, tax free. Follow me to freedom.

This is actually a pretty good description of (some) things that will get girls chasing you. (While you generally don’t want to listen to female dating advice for men, a woman simply DESCRIBING what men have done with her that worked can be very informative.) In this case, the guy was using: ✅ Confident, self-possessed body language. She doesn’t say it, but I guarantee you he had great posture, moved slowly and deliberately but smoothly, and took up space. Doubtless had excellent eye contact. ✅ At some point (ONCE he had her INVESTED enough) he asked her if she thought he was ‘hot’. This was deep in the second date, probably after some good bonding or connection so she doesn’t want to burst the bubble by saying something other than ‘yes’. What this did was trigger a psychological concept called COMMITMENT-CONSISTENCY where, once someone has verbally agreed to something, that person then feels compelled to act in-line with it, and even reorients his or her views to match what was said. (You can read about this in Robert Cialdini’s book “Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion”, where he has a ton more studies + examples.) ✅ Once he had her out the third time, he could tell she wasn’t into him enough yet, but was invested enough to have come out multiple times, so he just hung back and gave her space to chase. What happens when she chases? Well, that is simple enough: she starts to like you more (then more!). (Also, you might think his dogged follow up of her was ‘chasing’, especially if you are the type who only texts a girl once or twice then quits if she isn’t all about it… however: there is a right way and a wrong way to follow up doggedly. The fact that this guy got another date and she started chasing him tells you he did it the right way. The right way is ‘persistence’, rather than ‘pursuit’.) A lot of guys now don’t use (or know) game at all… they’re just totally winging it on “does she instantly feel me or not?” You may not believe it until you try it for yourself, but yeah, there is a reason men have been doing this stuff with women since Ovid’s time and before… probably since long before recorded history. If you want her to CHASE, you need to get her invested enough to be willing to — then, after that, you must create the SPACE for her to chase you in!
