compare edition page needs an update

Wow, Visual, sounds like a massive upgrade for Visual Studio! I'm curious to see how the AI features work in practice.

can i use it in mac?

Perfect, but...

I like the new ui it looks clean and fresh

community edition?

been using it for my company's work! it's blazingly faster than the prev. version and doesn't make me go to the cursor to edit files. c# dev kit isn't available on cursor so this has become my daily driver for backend again :)

this new visual studio 2026 is one of the best that has ever come out. A few bugs though that are driving me a bit crazy like installing or uninstalling an extension frequently leads to corruption of the extensions. 'ManagedProjectSystemPackage' and such did not load correctly.

@JetBrainsRider is better
I’m experiencing bugs with Visual Studio 2026 and .NET 9 Blazor. 🙄🙄🙄

@VisualStudio @madskristensen Any reason to install official instead of staying on Insiders?

4700 bugs 😱

32768 bugs added ?

If I still need to force close it whenever the "cmake cache is out of date and may need to be regenerated" pops up I'm going to crash out

I look forward to the @Jonathan_Blow video compilation of him raging at this.

So much faster ! It's really awesome !

upgrade and enjoy the bug-free future

the installer doesn't even work. I can't install to a second drive if my main drive doesn't have space, it just refuses

So we use to automate deployment, but the url structure has changed to is this new one we should adopt?

@dotnet Does it support long file paths (more than 256 chars) ?

Blazing-fast performance :o

My work enterprise subscription is dying in January. 😩

Kindly check this post, it's been pending for 5 years

Please bring back ability to use Visual Studio 2017 text editor color scheme for C#. I don't wanna look at code that looks like someone ate a box of crayons and threw up.

Struggles on my surface laptop with 16GB compared to VS2022.

Great!! But where can I change the font of the editor??

this sht takes so long to setup, it made give up on coding.

This is great!

need the new vs code icon as well

Cancerous

I already have CoPilot in VS 2022 (which is decent). Is it just "better" somehow?
