If temp is RMS velocity then why would it change when volume changes? Vol change does not obviously imply velocity change. Instead of a piston moving it could be a partition getting pulled out. Or the piston being pulled very fast. The model is pedagogically toxic.

Some of the circles/spheres have an attraction for the piston. I think it’s a bug.

Not correct. Ideal gas law is an approximation of an equilibrium condition only. Change in volume causes change in both pressure and temperature. Equilibrium results in T dropping due to communication with the container. Need dp/dT for gas here.
