"Straight Apocalyptic": Horseback Rider Finds Hundreds of Solar Powered Speakers at Mount Shasta - We have a very strange find out of California. A horseback rider has discovered hundreds, if not thousands, of solar powered speakers in the mountains of Mount Shasta. You can clearly hear the speakers giving off an overall "White Noise" type of sound. Some of the speakers do seem to play what sounds like a human voice. Maher was annoyed that Pratt didn’t know the specifics about taxes on solar powered energy, but Pratt humbled him with the REAL problems Angelenos care about. MAHER: “This is a state that is constantly overthinking everything, and over regulating everything.” “Trust me, I know. "If you look at a solar farm, you lay down all this steel and put up all this framing for the panels. When that panel was the most expensive thing on the field, then [startups producing solar panels] made sense." "But solar panels are now the cheapest thing in the field. All the rest of the stuff costs more than the panel." "I think what we're going to see is startups saying, 'Let's rethink how we actually deploy solar from a form-factor and automation perspective. They’re stopping wind and solar because this guy has some very strange ideas about the energy mix. And it’s consistent with the rest of his political and economic philosophy — if there’s less of everything, it gives him more authority to dole out favors and have people come to him for indulgences from the king.
