one of my favorite things about how she played elphaba is that she sounds so youthful & naive in a way that makes you so aware that she was a young woman who was taken advantage of by her mentors. & that naivety is gone from her voice by the time she finishes defying gravity

I saw somewhere somebody said something like she is the best vocalist alive and every song clip I see of her proves that point
