The Dublin City Transport Plan starts this Sunday 25th of August 2024. Lord Mayor of Dublin James Geoghegan has urged motorists to make themselves aware of the changes. Starting from 7am to 7pm this Sunday 25th of August, general traffic will not be able to go straight from Bachelors Walk towards Eden Quay on the north quays. Similarly, on the south quays, private motor vehicles won’t be able to go straight from Burgh Quay towards Aston Quay. Check out the video for a full explanation.

On March 16, 2026, the City of Paris, under the leadership of Mayor Anne Hidalgo, hosted a conference titled “Afghanistan at a Crossroads: Dialogue for Hope and Action.” Ahmad Massoud, leader of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, was invited as the special guest and delivered the keynote address. During the conference, Mr. Massoud and Deputy Mayor of Paris, Mr. Arnaud Ngatcha, delivered opening remarks, followed by two panel discussions. The first panel focused on the dire situation of women in Afghanistan, while the second addressed the various forms of resistance against the Taliban terrorist group, including armed, political, and civic efforts. The panels brought together a diverse group of participants, including French officials, members of civil society, academic experts, activists, and officials of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, including myself. The conference was attended by a wide range of French officials, as well as representatives from civil society, academia, media, and the diaspora of the people of Afghanistan. This event marks one of the first major conferences held in France since 2021 specifically focused on Afghanistan, with particular emphasis on the resistance and the future of the country. A photo exhibition was also organized by renowned French photojournalist REZA, featuring his work from Afghanistan, including powerful images of the late Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud and NRF leader Ahmad Massoud. “Ryuichi Sakamoto & Tin Drum | KAGAMI+” Makes Its Japan Premiere KAGAMI+, a work that captures Ryuichi Sakamoto’s piano performance in three dimensions and reconstructs it in a mixed reality (MR) space, arrives in Japan for the first time. The exhibition runs from June 27 to October 12, 2026, at VS., a cultural a cultural apparatus in Umekita, Osaka. Tickets are now on sale, and the full programme for the long-awaited Japan premiere has been announced. KAGAMI was conceived and developed over the final four years of Sakamoto’s life in collaboration with Todd Eckert and the creative studio Tin Drum. Since its world premiere at The Shed in 2023, the work has been presented internationally in cities including London, Manchester, Taipei, Singapore, Melbourne, Pesaro, and Hong Kong, receiving wide acclaim. Wearing optically transparent headsets, audiences encounter an authentic representation of Sakamoto at the grand piano, realized through a unique form of dimensional photographic capture. His performance at the grand piano emerges within the space alongside ethereal visuals that respond to the music, allowing audiences to experience the performance at a proximity not possible in a conventional concert setting. The experience extends beyond sound and image. Video, photography, and text are integrated throughout the space, alongside a natural scent personally blended by Sakamoto, creating a multilayered sensory environment. The work has been described by The Guardian as “a magical experience.” For its Japan presentation, an expanded version of the work, KAGAMI+, created specifically for this exhibition, will be unveiled. To meet our people exactly where they are? Leave that to us! Our consultation tour has been nothing short of incredible. Moving from community to community, ward to ward, engaging directly with our people and returning with one clear message everywhere we go: Kosofe is ready for Mayor Dele Oshinowo. We will secure the ticket at the primaries by the special grace of God, and one thing is certain: we will never disappoint our people. This happened the following day, Saturday, after Morgan Wallen’s concert Friday night where he took the phone from the security guard and threw it off stage. He cancelled his second show in Pittsburgh. 😳 Morgan says he cancelled it after consulting with his crew and local officials about the weather. The weather was calling for strong winds and bad weather. Well, the weather never came. His show was scheduled for 9pm but he cancelled around 2 pm. But, the Mayor of Pittsburgh, Corey O’Connor, said that is not the case. The Mayor said there was no contact with Public Safety or his administration. The mayor also claimed that Morgan didn’t even give the venue, Acrisure Stadium, a heads up, at least based on what the Mayor heard at the time. The Mayor said “ If you're going to say that you consulted…that's one story. We, again, had no record of that from the public safety director, all the way down." Just more bizarre stuff from Morgan. Here in this video, he gives the public his side of the story and what happened. Many fans said they paid not just for the tickets which Morgan said will be fully refunded, but some paid to drive from long distances and for hotels. Many fans were not happy, especially since it turned out to be a beautiful day in Pittsburgh. An AMAZING moment from the LA Mayoral debate between Spencer Pratt and Karen Bass. I went and spoke with the family and members of the community about the tragedy at 51st and Wood. My deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families. My heart is with everyone affected. I spent time listening to Citizens, offering support, and showing that someone cares. Graduation season has ended, but Issac Bradley will never get to see his son graduate from high school. Mayor Brandon Johnson recently watched his own son graduate from Kenwood Academy while protected by a 150-officer police detail. Issac had no such protection. Issac Bradley was a true Chicagoan, a father, entrepreneur, co-owner of one of Hyde Park’s newest steakhouses, and a pillar of the community. Someone investing in the neighborhood that raised him should never have to fear returning to it. On June 5, 2026, another mass shooting struck Chicago’s New City neighborhood. Two people were killed and five others were wounded, including a 23-year-old woman fighting for her life. Chicago is grieving, and our communities deserve real protection, not photo ops, distractions, or political theater. I have consistently raised concerns about violence, failing schools, struggling businesses, and the illegal Alien influx that has cost taxpayers billions of dollars. We have also questioned why Governor JB Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson refuse to seek every available resource, including federal assistance, to help combat the violence devastating our neighborhoods.
