Vultures are an S tier bird ngl

I always get so happy when I see the local black vultures hopping around eating something. Like you rock on you eccentric little disease preventers

Like how could you not love these funky guys

Vultures are one of the coolest and most underrepresented AND under-loved birds right next to pigeons. The fact that they straight up have stomach acid strong enough to fuck up any disease that's on the carrion they eat is SO COOL.

I was always told that the top of a vultures head is absolutely riddled with disease from eating corpses, so seeing a domesticated one get pet made me both worried and go "awe"

There was a colony of about 15-20 turkey vultures that nested in the barn directly behind my childhood home. It was so cool to be able to go outside and watch them sun themselves on the roof and my back yard. I love them so much
