That's the kind of dad we should strive to be.

For those of you that lost your fathers at a young age it’s hard to understand what you actually lost. This puts it into perspective, someone who loves you more than themselves and will risk their life for you without a second thought. This is the kind of Dad I want to be, not only would I Die for my kids, I would kill for them. Not until you become a father yourself will you truly understand the significance of that man in your life. For me it’s been over 20 years since I lost my father…. Miss you Dad ❤️

Sorry, I just don’t get this “sport.” Taunting an animal by putting it in a completely unnatural and scary situation to prove you can stay on its back for however long while it freaks out. Am I missing something? To me, Dad of the year wouldn’t have encouraged this to begin with 🤷🏻‍♀️

As the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo gets underway, a video showing a Texas father jumping out of his seat and saving his bull riding son has gone viral. Cody Hooks, 18, is from Louisiana, but was competing at a rodeo in Central Texas last month when he was thrown off. "The last thing I can remember is I was getting down on my bull and taking my wrap, and that's the last thing I remember before getting knocked out," Cody explained. His father, Landis Hooks, is still shaken up over what happened right after. "You laugh about it when it's all over, but it kind of got me a little bit," Landis said.
