Yeh no, anytime I’ve put myself out to help a friend, there’s been no thanks, zero reward, and majority of the time abused for my kindness and then ditched when they’ve got what they want.

This is everything that is wrong with education system. Why should anyone get better scores, just because of this? Neither guy did anything to warrant extra points. If we’re going to repair the education sector, then we need to start marking students based on the contents of their essays/assignments. Not awarded points for bets.

Something similar (I bet if my friend could answer a question or not) happened to me in high school. My buddy turned down the bonus points for himself and said I was kind of dumb & need the points more than him. 😂 The teacher laughed so hard he gave both of us the extra points.
