I agree. Marriage is just a contract and you don’t need the government involved to prove your commitment to each other. Marriage is a thing of the heart and I am not a fan of the institutionalization of it.

My husband and I were together for 16 years before we got married. It didn't matter to us but his mom asked us to get married before she died. So we did.
