Im super embrased by the volume of people who are not questioning how real or reality check, not real, this video is.

Holy mackeral! Give that dog a treat--give that dog lots of treats! That German shepherd(?) is one smart cookie--kept the kid from danger, knew what tool to use to retrieve the ball, got the ball, and did it all in seconds. Definitely deserves a raise in babysitting fees.

Dogs are relatively smart and can copy human behavior (unlike cats) but examples of animals using tools intentionally are pretty rare even for non-human primates. Chimps will strip a stick to use for dipping into a honeybee nest.

That is a very good and smart boy! It used a tool to retrieve the ball.

I suspect the dog was taught the trick but it's still pretty awesome.
