Watching for the first time as a casual viewer (book reader later) I don’t even think I registered Jeremiah in this scene but the way Conrad was introduced I remember immediately being like ooohhhh ok THAT’S the one she loves! The TS track, the sunlight, their smiles?!

The way Gavin also said he think he improvised the “what’s up” too… like his entrance wasn’t even important enough to stay on script lmao

Chris's acting in this scene is so insane on a rewatch because I can literally feel the weight coming off his shoulders as Belly lights up his life and then I see the weight quietly settle back for a moment as he realizes she doesn't know what he knows about his mom
