I played blind FRLG a year ago on phone emulator with a random romhack I installed that let you have the johto evos of Kanto pokemon + got rid of trade evos (I wanted Crobat and Gengar) but I didn’t realize it cut this out so this is my first time seeing it :0

Honestly, I kinda wish the modern games did this as well, which as a fan of and think people criticize unfairly, is something I will say that the modern games lack. Like not everyone can play immediately after they save and log out, a reminder would be nice

YEAH I FEEL THIS I do like tho how SV+PLZA have the missions mechanic where they have a little pop up on what you’re doing/what you need to do but I wish more games had something like this it’s whimsical af and fun

It’s my second time! I played FRLG blind a year ago via emulator and this never showed up for me but I think it’s cause the rom I played literally patched it out (I got a rom that patched out specific trade evos for items)

I also like how every dungeon you enter has small art showing off the cave. HGSS does it as well but I wish all of the linear Pokémon games did this.

Yes, I mention the recap feature in FireRed/LeafGreen EVERY TIME someone posts the same old meme about how as an adult, they wish games had a recap feature reminding you where you are and what you're supposed to be doing. Though a tired meme, I agree more games should have this.
