Coaches that do this are soft and do not deserve to coach the game

How about stop with the zone defense and plan man defense. This is the defensive coaches fault. Should have pressured them and made them play.

Play defense now. They’re in the state finals and aren’t good enough to come out and defend? Shot clock is for those who are only interested in half of the game. Hell of a lot easier to coach if you don’t have to teach defense. It is the equivalent of 7 on 7 football

This is actually perfectly fine. Over regulation kills creativity and innovation. Both teams are obviously okay with this. Nothing at all unfair about it.

Some insight: This isn’t a state championship game, this is a district championship game. Defensive team here beat the offensive team by a combined 52 points in two regular season games. Final score of this one was 48-40, so they did end up playing some ball ultimately.

Every state should have a shot clock! Changes the whole game when teams don’t have to shoot…it’s not even basketball at that point

Play man to man... Schools can barely work the game clock accurately. who is going to manage the shot clock, pay for the installation etc.

No! Too many coaches are humiliating overmatched teams by constantly pressing and running up the score. Shot clock would make it worse on teams if they don’t have prolific scorers. No need for shot clock until college.
