I've seen the whole video. The wife stands up for her husband and tells the her friends they all need to equally pay and that it is not her husband's responsibility to pay for them as they are independent women.

To be fair. Everyone should have pitched in for the birthday girl. It should not be on one person unless he said you all are invited. Dinner is on me. If not, they should have just pitched in and saved an awkward moment. 😬
