(Matt 6:6) Faith is the substance of things unseen. Church is merely a gathering of folks. All their works they do for to be seen of men: broad phylacteries, uppermost rooms, chief seats, and to be called Rabbi, Father, Master. Be not ye called these. For one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. He that is greatest among you shall be your servant. (Matt 23) Post-Pentecost, the Holy Spirit is your Advocate — the Person, not a program — your ever-present Counselor, Comforter, and Teacher. What the Father sent was not a system, but the third Person of the Trinity to lead you in the way of Jesus. No middleman. No organization required. Seek Him in secret.

You’re not wrong there. I always felt off about the organized prayer houses. Literally the only thing that felt slightly right was greeting your neighbors with “peace be with you” Right before they passed out the collection baskets

The hard questions are within us. Morals/Ethics/Integrity.

One can walk away from A church but not THE Church - holy, catholic and apostolic.
