Theo using FFmpeg to build SoraMarker is akin to using create-react-app for a new project in 2025. On the web, it's slow, unnecessarily bulky, and makes very little use of the platform. I rebuilt it using Mediabunny, and it runs 5x as fast while using 0.8% the bundle size⚡️

I was wasting 10+ hours every week troubleshooting individual configurations. It was exhausting! I started using Dev Container, and now people are up and running in 2 minutes with no issues. Better wrap up warm, we're taking a trip to the Frozen Outpost, created by 3D Environment & Generalist Artist Eliott Curaba ❄️ Made in UE5 with foreground assets from Megascans, the goal of the project was to create a winter shot that felt cinematic and was inspired by the work of Maxim Dorokhov. "For the station, I used Material Layers I had made for other projects. It allowed me to add more details using noise maps and vertex painting." - Eliott Curaba

"Limiting yourself to a single asset pack or strictly controlling your asset pool size can be a great way to spark creativity and improve problem-solving. For this project, I worked exclusively with the Dark Ruins sample assets, using Unreal's Modeling Tools to reshape and customize them. With just a few adjustments, you can create entirely new variations from the same base mesh — all within the engine." - Awais Azhar
