RSS is a disciplined organization which serves always in the interest of the country. I attended their function twice and I was thoroughly impressed with their discipline.
Also, read somewhere that the RSS during the struggle for independence may have stayed "out of the fight" officially, but was instrumental in creating a network of helping hands for the freedom fighters by hiding them, making contraband available, feeding, transporting & housing them.
