A consultant orthopaedic surgeon came to review a patient in my facility and said something casually to a general surgeon who came to review another patient. "I don't understand what is going on, this generation of young doctors are no longer interested in the art of medicine, it wasn't like this during our time" I think I have an answer now " A doctor/healthcare workers burdened with survival cannot fully devote themselves to healing" Medicine is a career path with ethics and should not be solely treated as a call to serve humanity on an empty stomach. I went to the hospital after a runway show because I was feeling discømfort in my bvtt. On the story of our Popular Orthopedic surgeon. He is fondly called Nwa Dubai. He started working with an Orthopedic surgeon here in Onitsha since 2020 The surgeon is known for employing Auxiliaries, down to laboratory section. Due to lack of a trained doctor, he tends to use the male nurses to do the job of the doctors. After a period of 5 years, Nwadubia aka Dr Nwadubia opened up his own. According to story, he has performed some procedures in his new place. My question is. If you could be loyal to a boss for 5yrs to learn how to do these procedures. Why not use that years to go into medical school? He probably could be in his finals by now #Putanendquarkery

For some reason, my speech today got laughs (I think it might've been the idea of me as a quivering wreck). Doctors shouldn't be able to raise the suggestion of Assisted Dying to patients because a) doctor/patient relationship has huge power imbalance so a GP raising it may be heard as a suggestion/recommendation and b) if you want the state to assist in taking your own life, it has to be patient-initiated to ensure autonomous choice and free will. Guess what: sponsor of the Bill not moved!
