However, I’m curious why the narrative often centers on Islam as the primary threat, as seen in some of the replies here, rather than the broader issue of individuals with anti-personalities who seek to control, dominate, or subjugate others? Whether it’s through domestic violence, corrupt politicians, bullying professors, media manipulation, propaganda, dictators, or terrorists, these personalities exploit our basic stress responses - fight, flight (both physically and psychologically), freeze (when overwhelmed), or fawn (going along with the popular narrative). As WebMD and Neurolaunch note, these responses can make us vulnerable to manipulation, regardless of the ideology or religion involved. Should'nt we be addressing the root behaviors and psychological tactics that fuel division and conflict, rather than focusing on one group? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
