My son was very young when he developed tremendous admiration for Joe Carter of the Blue Jays. We were in the bleachers at Fenway. Joe was down there in centerfield. I was hoarse as heck but I still yelled out loud enough that he could hear it. Hey Joe, could you give a wave to a kid that really loves you. Joe did, it made both of our days. It doesn’t take much to make a little kid happy. Thanks again, Joe.
