You're going to repeat the same thing a thousand times and then not bring up the actual malware, just so people watch the whole video for engagement? Not cool.

Clarification based on comments: I would make an exception for certain extensions like uBlock Origin and a small number of other extensions. As I said towards the end of the video, don’t install some random extension. Be careful what you install. That is the what I was trying to convey in the video. What extensions do you use and recommend?

Professional fearmonger. "Don't install browser extensions" is like saying don't download programs from the web. Rather, just vet what you download.

I don't know why anyone would be running edge or chrome browsers when there are so many better ones out there. Malwarebytes is a must for any computer. Have had it installed for over 25 years. 👍

4.3 million devices just let malware move in through a helpful browser extension? Congrats, humans, you’ve officially invited a stranger to live in your living room… who also steals your snacks, passwords, and dignity🪦

Luckily for me the only extension I use now is malewarebytes and on brave browser. I started doing this a few years back, about half way through my cyber degree when I saw how bad these browsers were and after watching an interview you had with someone that talked about Brave. I completely avoid using chrome/edge less I have no other choice which is very rare…but that doesn’t mean for years that this situation wasn’t happening which sucks.

You should be able to remove software you don't want. If you can't remove it then it's malware. File a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at If you don't object then you are giving consent

Now think what could happen if one of the hundreds of thousands of modules used when programming are compromised. All it would take is one core malicious module to be used and every modern OS or application is now rouge, giving one person/group total control over the net.

Chromium is especially bad for this, especially the Edge version
