Analysis of blood from Long Covid patients undergoing the scans “found several mediators associated with vascular problems that correlated with the neuroinflammation signal.” These included elevated L-selectin, responsible for leukocyte extravasion into tissues; and fibrinogen, a main blood clotting component.
