Warning: Disturbing: The Jasper County Sheriff's Office in Indiana has released bodycam footage of the January 26 shooting death of Matthew Huttle, a January 6er among those pardoned by Trump earlier in the month. "I'm shooting myself" Huttle said before the deputy shot him.

Police also issued an audio-less dashcam video of the shooting. I've synchronized the sound of the bodycam with the visual of the dashcam for the video below. All redactions in both body and dash cams come from the sheriff's office (not me).

"I just want to let you know that I am a January 6 defendant," Huttle explained prior to the shooting. "I stormed the Capitol. I'm waiting on my pardon and I can't really afford to get in any trouble right now." "I am driving without a license right now," he added.

“Despite lawful commands, Huttle attempted to reach for a firearm, posing an imminent threat to the Deputy’s safety,” a special prosecutor reportedly said, providing this image of the firearm. “Given these facts, the Deputy’s actions were legally justified under Indiana law. This investigation is now closed and no charges will be filed.”

This really is sad. He’d rather take his own life than go back to the prison where J6 defendants were treated so inhumanly. RIP Huttle. 🙏🏼

As sad as this is, if you jump in a car and pick up a gun and the officer shoots you, then you can't blame the cop because then you have put him into a bad situation.

These J6ers all have extreme PTSD, and any encounter with a police officer is not going to go in any kind of normal way.
