In 2019, Aaron Booth forced his way into his ex-partner’s home in Glossop, repeatedly stabbed her in front of police officers, and held a knife to her throat following a sustained and vicious assault. He was jailed for 14 years. Her bravery in coming forward and allowing her story to be shared has helped raise awareness of the devastating reality of domestic abuse and may help protect other women. The judge told her: “You have been brave in the extreme. You have not just protected yourself, you have protected other women.” I completely echo the judge’s words.

This is chilling and uncomfortable. But, I get it. In a weird but compelling way, I get it. As a people, we move on. We move to the next headline quickly. We are shocked, we lament, protest, etc but eventually ... WE MOVE ON. This AI rendering of a story is morbid and uncomfortable... And even triggering. But, dammit, maybe this is what is needed. Evil gets shielded and protected by our need to not want to be confronted by truths that make us uncomfortable. How many stories of families hiding traumas and crimes of familial culprits because they don't want to expose the shame of umdeni? What does that do but protect perpetrators? Our discomfort about our reality can be a hindrance to accountability. The shame and discomfort should be reserved for the culprit. We are surprised how recidivism is so high in Mzansi, but we forget that we protect criminals' dignity more than the victims'. There is a lot that is cringe-y about AI and it should be regulated. This, though chilling, I feel it is a necessary evil if it will make Olorato and many like her not to become old news because today we have moved on to a new shocking headline. Remember her and live with the reality that you or someone you love and/or know may be next.

We are putting all hawkers on notice, especially those operating within the CBD and irresponsibly dumping waste particularly tea and coffee hawkers. Their careless disposal of garbage is blocking our stormwater drainage systems, which is a major cause of flooding in the city whenever it rains. Developers and all residents are reminded to strictly follow the law and avoid encroaching on drainage channels. All illegal structures constructed on top of or along drainage systems will be removed. We are committed to restoring order in Nairobi. We are also warning those who have encroached along riverbanks and riparian zones move away immediately before you are swept away by the floods. We shall move in and demolish all illegal structures along riparian areas. These zones are not meant for settlement or construction and must be protected. These decisions may not be popular, but they are necessary. Fixing our drainage system is not just about today it’s about building a better, safer city for tomorrow. From northern Gaza ✌🇵🇸... It may be the last message or the last post, and we may or may not meet, but we will remain in the north in Gaza City, if only for the last person. Please pray for us to be steadfast... My friends and dear ones.. I am your friend Mo and this is a new update.. First of all, I want to apologize for not responding to everyone. Everyone knows that we in the north are subjected to a hideous massacre, and it is dangerous for me to go to a place from which I can receive an Internet signal... Believe me, when I see your message, this does not mean that I ignore it. This means that the signal is weak and the Internet is slow. But I see your comments and support with love.. I went to the doctor and had an ultrasound examination to check the tumor and blue marks in my abdomen. The doctor was satisfied with my condition and told me that it was just bruises from the surgery... We are still living in terrifying and difficult times.. The army is still waging a military campaign in the north.. and the tanks are about 1.5 km away from me.. I'm wondering for how long? When will this nightmare end? When will we get out of this hell? Death is no longer terrifying... This life is more terrifying... We still struggle every day to get food. They are still besieging us and using starvation as a weapon against us.. Me, the cats, and my family are all fine. The video below is of my daughter Julia helping me take care of the cats.. there is an idea came to my mind to plant a garden in order to get some vegetables. I bought the seeds from the black market for very ridiculous amounts.. and it will take approximately 3 months for the vegetables to mature.. We don't know if we will stay in the north or if we will live to eat from it. But it is worth the risk... because we miss eating fresh vegetables.. I hope you will support me to get through these difficult times We depend on the black market to get food and food is 100 times its basic price. Since Sony’s announcement that new PlayStation games will no longer release on physical discs beginning in 2028, I’ve been thinking about what we can do to better protect digital ownership. I put together a template you can personalize and send to your Senators and Representative calling for stronger consumer protections for digital media. If you think buying something should mean you get to keep it, feel free to use it, adapt it, and share it. I’m in Munich, Germany! 🇩🇪 Magnificent, beautiful city! Church bells ringing, lovely people, thousands walking by, getting loads of support. I’ve even been prayed for! After I filmed this video I did get approached by some youth who tell me how anyone can just decide to be a man or woman, so gender ideology has definitely spread its nasty tentacles here, but I gave them some food for thought to go home with and I’m sure they’ll break out of this spell. Did Netanyahu just insult Jesus? What I have to say will offend many. First: No, I don’t think Netanyahu insulted Jesus. He is correct that in a fallen world, evil regimes don’t bend to the will of mercy, but to the will of force. You may hate Netanyahu invoking Jesus’s name at all while justifying war, and that may be a legitimate criticism. But outrage I believe was totally disproportionate to his comment. Second: Netanyahu does misunderstand the Christian view of war, which is more robust than “Jesus was peaceful so we must be total pacifists.” But more importantly, he obviously misunderstands (and rejects) the truth about Jesus and the gospel. That’s what I care most about. And that’s what those who reflexively and unconditionally hate Israel never seem to care about at all. Their hatred has prevented them from loving Jewish people enough to tell them the truth in love. I don’t know what that is, but it’s not Christianity. People will falsely accuse me of being some dispensationalist shill for not joining the outrage machine on this one, which is an incorrect description of my eschatology and is just an excuse to justify their own silliness. Casting choices like in The Odyssey have a much deeper meaning “I mean, seriously, are we really thinking that the woman on the right is such a beautiful woman whose face launched 1,000 ships? This is what communists do. They tell you not to believe your eyes, the things that you see. Only believe the dogma of the party, or else you'll be excommunicated and destroyed. And that's what they do. They call you a hateful person for saying, Oh, you don't think that she's beautiful? You're racist. You're racist. You just hate black people. It's like, no, I just…. the person who's supposed to be cast for the most beautiful woman should be beautiful” Look, we all have 2 eyeballs and we all shouldn’t be afraid to say what we really think and feel It’s very obvious this woman may be beautiful to some, but she’s not the right choice for a woman who is supposed to be so outlandishly beautiful that wars were started over here We also MUST stop casting white characters as black people. "I think we have some evidence of two or three other people out of the country that voted." "The online voter registration system seems to be an honor system. Anybody can put information in there to register and vote." "All you have to do is click a box and say that you're not lying. And then you'll get an email from the Secretary State or something in the mail saying thank you for registering to vote." "And there you are. Once you're on the voter rolls, any time an election comes around, guess what? You get mailed a ballot, right? You get mailed something to vote. So we found that a little bit problematic."
