Warning: This Carl Sagan explaination has caused existential crises. He explains how 5th dimensional beings perceive 3D creatures, and the implications are so disturbing, I paused it three times. He said: A being from the 5th dimension could reach into your locked house, take an object off your kitchen...

Yes, it clearly explains the supernatural and is a strong premise for the argument that: 'No one can claim ( from their limited 3 dimensions) that there is no God.' It also matches what God has revealed about Himself in the Bible, that He is the Alpha and Omega. He stands outside of time. Outside of His creation. Far above all that we are or could imagine. If your worldview starts there, a lot of things will make a whole lot more sense. 'The fear of the Lord, is the beginning of wisdom' Proverbs 9:10

A Flatlander would be foolish to insist that reality contains only what can be explained from inside two dimensions. We should be equally careful about assuming that the Creator of space, time, matter and the laws governing them must Himself be confined by space, time, matter and those laws. Scripture made that distinction thousands of years ago: “Behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee.” — 1 Kings 8:27 “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” — Psalm 139:7 “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday…” — Psalm 90:4 Higher-dimensional geometry doesn’t prove God exists. But it demonstrates something important: our inability to visualize a mode of existence does not establish its impossibility. A creature living inside creation should be particularly cautious about declaring what the Creator of creation can or cannot be.

@elonmusk Sagan’s geometry is correct. Kaluza already showed a 5th dimension can touch every point in 3D without crossing a wall, that’s where electromagnetism comes from.

> A 5D being could observe your entire lifetime from every version of you from infant to corpse like a single unmoving sculpture stretched across time. But doesn’t that mean everything is already predetermined and we are simply playing out pre-written scripts?🤔

Except that the 2D square is actually 3D. It's just infinitely thin compared to a 3D object. This isn't a lesson on dimensions. It's a lesson on perspective, which as they say, is everything.

People like to mock those with extraordinary ideas, it makes them feel less small while proving how small they are. The same people work to make science as opaque as possible and disliked Sagan for making science accessible to ordinary people - they mockingly called it “Saganizing” science.

Interesting because Sagan's 5D explanation could illustrate why so many Near Death Experience (NDE) retellings include what's called a Life Review. If we arrive at a higher dimension at death, seeing our entire life at once makes sense. Just because we can. For the first time!

This was an episode of The Cosmos aired weekly on national PBS on our TV fed for 13 episodes in 1980. Stations transmitted analog radio signals over the air using the NTSC standard (525 scanning lines, roughly 30 frames per second, interlaced). Viewers picked up those signals with rooftop or indoor antennas on VHF or UHF channels. How do you like them apples?

No. To see what we call a circle requires 3 dimensions. The flatlander would see a dot, then a line that grows longer, then shorter, then, finally a dot again as someone pushed the apple through the paper.

This means that that tiny handful of people who can truly see the future may not be from the future, yet they possess higher‑dimensional thinking and perspectives — four‑dimensional, even five‑dimensional. God has endowed them with immense power to create and transform the world, similar to a psychic ability.

Why would people freak out? If there are intelligent beings in the 5th dimension how would we know they didn’t manipulate Sagan? They’ve likely been doing it and we’ve been just fine. Anyway, you can’t ask a question while you’re inside the simulation bc you can never be certain you won’t get a simulated answer.

My mormons, "You are not a member of an organization. You are a member of a people, and you forget the difference at your peril. An organization has employees and customers and a mission statement. A people has martyrs. A people has graves it can point to, ground soaked with its own blood, stories that begin with "your fathers" and mean it. The world will tell you that Mormonism is a religion you happen to hold, a set of beliefs you could set down tomorrow and remain exactly who you are. The world is lying. You cannot separate the faith from the people who bled for it, because they were never two things. The pioneer past is not the backstory of Mormonism. It is the body of it. Carthage is not history you learn. It is inheritance you carry. The handcart companies are not an episode in a manual. They are your dead, your line, your tribe, and the covenant that binds you to God binds you just as surely to them. This is the thing the modern Saint has forgotten, and the forgetting is a kind of orphaning. We speak of "the pioneers" as though they were someone else's ancestors, figures in a diorama, a heritage month. They are not someone else's. Whether your blood crossed the plains or your baptism grafted you into the vine last spring, they are yours now, fully yours, because that is what it means to be sealed into a covenant people: their story becomes your story, their martyrs become your martyrs, their dead become your dead. The convert from Manila and the seventh-generation rancher from Cache Valley stand in the same line, heirs of the same graves. Joseph and Hyrum did not die for an institution. They died for a people that did not fully exist yet, a people they could see only by faith, and you are that people. Their blood is in your spiritual veins. When you take the sacrament, you take it as one of them. When you enter the temple, you enter on ground their sacrifice purchased. You cannot claim the gospel and disown the tribe that carried it, because the gospel came to you inside that tribe, wrapped in its stories, paid for with its suffering, handed down grave by grave until it reached your hands. And a people who know they are a people cannot be broken the way scattered individuals can. This is why the world works so hard to convince you that your faith is private, personal, just one option in the marketplace of beliefs. A lone believer can be picked off, worn down, embarrassed out of his convictions one awkward conversation at a time. A member of a tribe with martyrs cannot, because he does not stand alone, and he knows it. He stands in a line that runs back through the valley and the plains and the frozen rivers to a jail in Illinois, and the line stands in him. So claim your people. Say "my martyrs" and mean it. Say "my dead" and feel the weight of it. Take your children to the graves of the pioneers and teach them that these are not strangers, these are ours, this is who we are and what we came from and what it cost. Because the day you understand that you belong to a people, the mockery of the world loses its power over you entirely. They are laughing at your tribe. And your tribe buried its children in the snow and kept walking, and outlasted every mob and every extermination order and every laughing generation since. You come from the unbreakable."

A woman who spent nine years gluing paper models in a print shop just told a room of physicists their whole field stands on a mistake, one line, no hedging: "Every theory we have takes space and time for granted, like a bagel that forgot it was once a flat sheet of paper." That's Bianca Dittrich. She has a free lecture course that asks one question: what is left of geometry once you quantize it? The answer is: far less than you can picture. Quantum gravity looks like one more field theory. Buried inside is something stranger. Every quantum theory we have puts fields on a fixed stage, flat or curved, and does the physics on top of it. Here the stage itself is the thing being quantized. Your gut reads an atom of spacetime as a tiny grain sitting somewhere. Wrong. It cannot sit anywhere, because it is the somewhere. The move is invisible to human intuition, which is exactly why the people who get anywhere stop asking where the pieces are and start asking what a measurement even means. In 3D the whole thing collapses in a way that should scare you. No matter, no cosmological constant, and gravity is locally flat everywhere. Six degrees of freedom per point, all of them eaten by diffeomorphism symmetry. A field theory that ends up with finitely many real degrees of freedom, sometimes zero. None of it is hidden. Cut a parallelogram out of paper, glue the edges, and you have a torus. Flat everywhere, and yet two numbers survive that no local measurement can see. The lecture is free. Here is the trap: you feel every equation you can solve, every geometry you can draw, as progress. What you cannot feel is the gap you have to cross. Ten to the forty-one, from the Planck scale back up to the world you live in. And crossing it is the only thing that pays. Almost every approach still cannot show it recovers ordinary physics at the far end, and almost everyone quits long before then. The math is free to learn. The nerve to stop trusting your picture of space, that part you still have to bring yourself.

I've become a missionary with one message. Every time I meet a young person, the same words: have children, get married, build a family. I did not decide on this calling. It overtook me. And it overtook me for a single reason. I had no idea. I genuinely did not understand how much joy, how much meaning, how much sheer beauty pours out of a child until I was holding one of my own and felt the floor of my life drop into something deeper than I knew was there. I grew up white, affluent, secular, comfortable, and insulated. That world does not put babies in front of you. None of my friends were starting families. Out of my whole circle, almost no one has a big one. We were not formed by the presence of children. We were formed by their absence, by the strange quiet of homes built for two careers and no cradle. And a person believes what his world shows him. So we believed. What we believed was a lie. It is a lie with an author, and that the author is the enemy of joy himself. It is the gospel of the world, and its commandment is wait. Wait until you are older. Wait until the career is built and the savings are stacked and the twenties are properly spent. Enjoy your freedom. You are not ready. It does not arrive sounding like temptation. It arrives sounding like wisdom, like prudence, like the responsible thing, and that is exactly why it works. The most effective lies are the ones that wear the face of virtue. And the maddening thing is that it collapses from every angle at once. It is not rooted in biology, because the body is made for this work precisely in the years we are told to postpone it. The flesh keeps a calendar the culture pretends not to see. And it is not rooted in theology either. You will not find this deferral anywhere in the Christian imagination, in any of the fathers, in any of the scriptures. So choose whatever lens you like. Take the cold secular measure or the ancient sacred one. By either light the counsel is rotten. It is bad for the body and bad for the soul and bad for the society downstream of both. This is why I have come to see it as one of the central tragedies of my generation. Every age carries its own wound. The Great Depression was a depression of bread, a scarcity in the world of matter, hunger you could measure. Ours is a depression of a different order. It is a famine of the spirit in the middle of abundance. We have more than any people who ever lived and we are starving in a way our ancestors would not recognize, because the thing we are refusing cannot be bought and cannot be banked. The ones most made to give and receive this love are quietly declining it. They are walking away from the one inheritance that actually compounds, and the cruelest part is that they do not feel the loss as loss. You cannot grieve what you were taught not to want. That is the deepest cut of it. The lie does not only steal the thing. It steals the capacity to know the thing was stolen. A man can spend his whole life on the far side of a door he never knew was a door, mistaking the wall for the edge of the world. Because this beauty is not ordinary beauty. It is not the pleasure of a good meal or a clear morning. It is participation in something that comes down from above, the same generative love that spoke everything out of nothing and called it good. To make a person, to be undone and remade by loving that person more than your own life, is to be drawn for a moment inside the very act that holds the cosmos together. A child does not merely add to your life. A child reorders the soul. It teaches you what you are by asking everything of you, and you discover, kneeling there exhausted at three in the morning, that you had a capacity for self gift you never suspected, a depth in yourself you had no other way to reach. In the Gospel of John, on the last night, Jesus prays, these things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. And I have come to understand why family is the road into that fullness, why it is not one path among many but the one most fitted to the shape of the promise. Consider who is praying. Christ does not come to us as a lone figure dropped out of the sky. He comes out of a family older than the world, the eternal communion of Father and Son, the love between them so total and so alive that theologians dared to call it a third person. Before there was anything, there was a family. The deepest fact about reality is not a force or a law or a void. It is a household. It is begetting and being begotten, giving and receiving, a Father who is only a Father because there is a Son. So when Jesus speaks of joy made complete, he is not pointing away from family toward something higher. He is pointing toward the very thing he came from, the life he has known from eternity and came to share. His joy is the joy of belonging utterly to a Father and pouring himself out for those he loves. When you marry, when you bring a child into the world, when you wear yourself down in the small unseen labors of a home, you are not stepping outside that divine life. You are stepping into a small image of it. Your family is a created echo of an uncreated one. The love you give your child rhymes with the love the Father has for the Son. The exhaustion, the tenderness, the way a parent would tear the sky open to protect a sleeping infant, all of it is the heavens pressed faintly into flesh, the eternal household leaving its fingerprint on yours. That is why the joy is not merely added to family but completed in it. We were made in the image of a God who is, at his very root, relation and gift and generation. To found a family is to do the most Godlike thing a creature can do, to participate from below in the begetting that God does from all eternity. Your home becomes a window. Through it, dimly and imperfectly, you glimpse the country you came from and are going to. And now a word for the young people reading this, the ones who do not yet have children. I want to tell you what it is like from where I stand. When I am out somewhere, a restaurant, anywhere, and a large family comes through the door, the noise and the chaos and the small bodies of them, something happens in me on two levels at once. The first is joy. A pure gladness at the sight, the way you feel watching something good and alive. But underneath it, almost in the same instant, a sadness reaches up and takes hold of my heart. Because I know now, at my age, after my own years of waiting, that I will never have that. I will never know the particular fruit of a family that large, the fullness of that table, the weight of all those lives gathered under one roof. The door to it has quietly closed, and I felt it close. And I am telling you plainly, because I love you and have no reason to lie to you: you will feel this too. You will. The day will come when you see what you passed up, and you will recognize the ache for what it is, and it will be too late to answer it. So please, learn from a man who got it wrong. Let my regret be worth something by becoming your wisdom. Do not wait yourself into a grief you cannot undo. Choose now, while the door is open, so that you may step into a joy that does not end.

🦔Sam Altman has been describing a version of ChatGPT that remembers your whole life, every email, conversation, and document you choose to feed it, so it can act as a proactive assistant. A viral clip framed this as AI surveilling your entire life within six months, which overstates both the timeline and what he said. Strip out the hype, though, and there's a business angle here, one Altman has said out loud. My Take The obvious worry is privacy, and it's a big one. You'd be handing a single company a record of your entire life, your emails, your health, your money, your private conversations, and trusting it to guard all of that and never misuse it. These are the same firms that keep getting hacked and subpoenaed, and once that data exists in one place, you don't control where it ends up. They want it anyway because it locks you in. Altman has said the deep memory creates massive switching costs, which is his term for a moat. Once ChatGPT holds years of your context, walking away for a competitor means starting from zero, so most people won't. You carry the privacy risk so they can hold a customer who won't walk. Google and Apple ran a version of this with email and photos, and this hook goes far deeper, your whole life instead of a photo library. I'd think hard before pouring all of it into any single one of these tools, because the company that holds your entire context doesn't have to stay the best. It only has to be impossible to quit. Jordan Peterson just named the one thing no machine will ever possess. Not intelligence. Not logic. Not processing power. A ghost. Peterson reached back to Carl Jung to describe something most people never slow down long enough to feel. You are not just the person sitting here reading this. You are every version of yourself that could ever exist across time. Peterson: “The Self is everything you are and everything you could be across time.” There is a version of you that fulfilled every ounce of potential you carry. The finished version. The one standing at the far end of your life who became everything you were built to become. That version is not a fantasy. It is a gravitational field. And it has been speaking to you your entire life. Not through words. Not through logic. Through the feeling of meaning. Peterson: “The answer is through the instinct of meaning.” When something resonates so deep it stops you mid-step and you cannot explain why. That is not a chemical accident. That is your future self reaching backward through time whispering where to walk next. Peterson: “That which you could be tells you where to walk by making that path meaningful.” Your potential is not quiet. It is dragging you forward every single day through a language older than speech. Now look at what we are building. Machines designed to optimize every human decision. Career paths. Schedules. Relationships. Health. Creativity. The algorithm will map the most efficient route to any destination you name. But it cannot exist across time. It has no unrealized potential. No future version of itself standing at any finish line. No ghost pulling it toward something it was meant to become. It has compute. It does not have a soul whispering directions. When you hand your choices to an algorithm you are not delegating a task. You are muting the only compass that was ever yours. Meaning is not efficient. It is not optimized. It does not care about the shortest path. Meaning requires friction. Confusion. Standing in total darkness and feeling your way forward on nothing but instinct. That is the entire point. The struggle is not the obstacle between you and your potential. The struggle is the conversation between you and your potential. Remove it and you do not arrive faster. You arrive as someone else. We are building the most powerful optimization engine in human history. And we are about to aim it directly at the one process that was never supposed to be optimized. The algorithm will hand you a perfect map. But it will never give you a reason to walk.

Yes, indeed, this is lawlessness by any standard. Even by banana republic standards, this is still lawlessness. Your country has a constitution, it has a government, it has a police service, and it has a ruling party. I am sure you can see that some of the people there are actually wearing ruling party T-shirts. It is lawless regardless of whoever does it. It is an embarrassment to South Africa as a country, what you are doing and what you are encouraging people to do. Your country has an immigration service. If people are in your country illegally, they should be arrested and deported through lawful processes. You do not go around destroying property, tearing down markets, and attacking people. It is illegal regardless of whoever does it. It is not illegal because I have said so. It is illegal because the laws of your country make it so. This is vigilantism, pure and simple, and it is tainting the reputation of South Africa, not only across Africa but across the world. If you have got satellite television in your home, you can see that these actions are being reported everywhere. It is not good for your country. This kind of barbarism undermines the rule of law, fuels division, and damages South Africa’s standing as a constitutional democracy. It is the actions of a few that are tainting the reputation of many. The average South African is not mindless like this. They respect the law, and they respect the fact that among them, in their communities, there are people from other countries. If those people are in the country illegally, you report them and the law takes its course through proper processes of arrest and deportation. You do not descend into mob justice, lawlessness, and destruction. That is not who South Africans are, and it must not be normalised.

Elon Musk just proved every sighted person on Earth is blind. Your eye captures 0.0035% of the electromagnetic spectrum. You are not seeing the universe. You are seeing the sliver your biology decided was enough to keep you alive. That was never vision. That was a survival filter bolted onto your perception four hundred million years ago. No one has ever removed it. Musk: “Blindsight will enable those who have total loss of vision to be able to see again. Including if they have lost their eyes, or the optic nerve.” No eyes. No nerve. The entire optical system physically absent from the skull. Neuralink does not rebuild what broke. It routes around biology entirely. It streams synthetic signal straight into the visual cortex. Your eye never saw anything. Your brain did. Your brain sits in total darkness inside a vault of bone. It has never seen the sun. It has never seen anything. It builds reality out of whatever electrical signal the eye allows through. The eye is the bottleneck between your mind and the universe. Neuralink removes the bottleneck. Musk: “Maybe have never seen, were even blind from birth.” A human who has never perceived a single photon of light. Given sight for the first time. Not through medicine. Through engineering. Musk: “You can see in radar, you can see in infrared, ultraviolet.” Infrared is pouring off every surface in the room around you. Radio waves are passing through your body right now. Ultraviolet is painting patterns across everything you have ever looked at. You cannot see any of it. Your biology locked you out before you were born. Musk: “Superhuman capabilities.” The person born blind would not be restored to human sight. They would see more of the universe than any sighted person who has ever lived. The blind would out-see the sighted. You will not pity them. You will envy them. Musk: “Cybernetic enhancement.” Every human sense is a sensor converting the world into electrical signal. Replace the sensor and the brain does not care where the signal came from. It just processes. Your senses were never built to show you reality. They were built to show you just enough of it to survive. Evolution built a keyhole. We called it sight. Elon Musk is not fixing blindness. He is fixing sight.

🔥🚨JUST IN: This woman named Elizabeth April who claims to be a remote viewers says she spoke to the source of the universe and was told what the meaning of life is which she claims involves in traveling through dimensions in different lifetimes and initially being one with God who chose to create life to experience it. April: “Here’s what Source said … ” “It said … imagine having all access to materials, money, to knowledge, resources, what would you do?” “I said I’d be pretty bored.” “Source was like, yeah, exactly.” “It went from itself—which is everything all at once, all light, all dark … center of the universe, God, whatever you wanna call it—and … decided to separate myself a billion, trillion times over and go into lower life forms to experience limitation.” “This universe is divided into, this is what it told me, 12 different dimensions.” “Dimensions are densities.” “And within a dimension there are certain limitations.” “You can freaking hop around all the dimensions.” “I started doing past life regression, I’m like, holy shit, you were an 8th dimensional being in your last life.” “Source said you go through every dimension, not in a linear fashion … and you experience everything that there is to learn through all of those limitations.” “And then you get back to the 12th dimension.” “And at the point where you’ve learned everything there is to learn through all … 12 dimension densities, you have a choice to make.” “The choice is, are you going to go back to Source and reunite with the initial source of this universe?” “Or are you gonna break away and create your own universe?” “The choice is yours.” “The purpose of existence is experiencing through limitation.” Credits: Holden Culotta Elizabeth April ACID FOR SQUARES

Yann LeCun sat across from Lex Fridman and quietly proved that intelligence has nothing to do with thinking. He did it with two sentences about a trophy. “The trophy doesn’t fit in the suitcase because it’s too big.” “The trophy doesn’t fit in the suitcase because it’s too small.” Same words. One swap at the end. In the first, “it” is the trophy. In the second, “it” is the suitcase. You solved both before you finished reading. Nobody taught you that. There is no rule for it. No logic chain. No formula. You knew because you’ve held things. Packed things. Felt the resistance of something too large for the space it was meant to fill. LeCun calls this grounding. “A big object doesn’t fit in a small object.” The machine has read that line a billion times. It has never once picked anything up. It knows the word “big.” It has never been small enough to be lifted, or large enough to be the problem. So when the sentence turns, it has nothing to turn on. You didn’t solve that riddle by thinking. You solved it by having lived. Every object your hands ever closed around. Every door you misjudged. Every suitcase you overpacked and forced shut. Decades of physics written into your nervous system so deep you can’t even find it. That is what answered the question. Not your mind. Your life. LeCun: “You have this knowledge of how the world works, of geometry, and things like that.” Now point that at yourself. Most of what you understand, you could never explain. You cannot describe how you catch a ball. How you judge the weight of a bag before you lift it. How you know a staircase is wrong before your foot confirms it. Your deepest intelligence has no language in it at all. We spent centuries convinced that thinking was the highest act of the mind. LeCun is pointing at something underneath it. Something older. Something the body learned long before the mouth could speak. Intelligence was never computation. It was accumulation. The slow, silent record of a life spent touching the world. The machine holds every word ever written about it. It has never once been in it. We keep asking whether it thinks. It cannot even tell us which “it” we mean.
