Don’t Scroll—God Is Calling You to Submit and Move Praise the Lord that He has given us such a commission and such a call and we should be humbled by that and we should want to go out for His kingdom and do that. All of you are usable by God. There is not one of you that is not usable if you're only willing to submit. We all fall short. It's a matter of who is willing. Here I am, Lord, send me. That's what Isaiah said. Here I am. Send me. You are all usable. When a lot of you out there go, well, what can I do for God in my life? There's a lot you can do. If you're only willing to be picked up as an instrument in his Hands and implemented the way you were created to move. Many of you are operating outside the realm of what you were created to be. And in this season, that's going to be reconciled. And many of you are going to change course in this season drastically. Because you're in jobs, you're in areas, you're doing things, you were not created to do. You have gifts for it, but you weren’t created to do it. And there's going to be massive shifts in many of your lives and a sudden turn. And the Lord is going to realign. And this is going to be quick when He does it. Realign you into the position, redirect you and put you on that course because time is short and He needs you operating in what you were created to do. He needs that right now. And many of you are going to enter that process in this season. So praise the Lord because you are. You will enter that process and you will be redirected. And you will do what is written about you in the books of heaven, what you were created to do on this earth. Because many of you know and feel uncomfortable and know you're not in your call. You know you are just trying to try to endure, you're trying to survive. And it's because you're not in your call. Surrender to God, allow Him to redirect you into your call and your purpose that you were beautifully created to do. Because it's needed in this season and we cannot dilly dally anymore and go dabbling in things we are not created to do. It's time for us to go to work and it's time for us to be willing to go there.

You've got 14 states now that don't require voter ID. California, where I used to live, just passed a law banning voter ID for voting. I still can't believe that's real. So how are you supposed to have a good, proper election if there's no ID? It's just meaningless. And free speech is the bedrock of democracy. And if people don't know what's going on, if they don't know the truth, how can you make an informed vote? You must have free speech in order to have democracy. That's why it's the First Amendment, and the Second Amendment is there to ensure that we have the First Amendment. President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. So many people are caught up in the drama and the bullshit that so many are pushing on you because they can control you when you're scared. I promise it's much more fun to choose hope and optimism, especially when it's grounded in patience, accountability, and most of all, practical truth. Central City News is a Republican ran news paper in Baton Rouge and they are saying the quiet part out loud. They believe they can elect a white Republican as mayor because the Black voter turnout is so low. They are looking at the same data I shared last week. I’ve been telling you the numbers because the power is there for us to make the difference. I believe you seeing this is important. It shows you the thinking of people who are voting Republican in this community think about you not voting. They see it as an opportunity. If voting didn’t matter, why are they breaking records to show up? The person in the mayors office determines what policing in your city looks like, they determine the budget priorities of the city, they set the agenda for where things are going. Everything we don’t have, is because we aren’t engaging at the numbers we need to. You can’t change a city, with only 30% of the majority population showing up to vote. Baton Rouge can be so much better, we have to show up for better to happen. Take the 5 minutes to listen and then take 10 more to text your people and encourage them to go vote tomorrow. We can prove them wrong. Louisiana is not a red state, it’s an under funded, low voter participation state. Show up for yourself tomorrow, that’s how we make people pay attention and invest so we can see the change we desire. Share, tag, and engage your people. And go vote!

Do YOUR Part. That’s the message of the day. We have 900,000 registered Black voters. On the first day of early voting only 21,000 Black people went to vote in the entire state. Only 90 people between the ages of 18-20 went to vote that were Black. Southern university has over 8,000 students, Grambling has over 4,000. Homecoming is on Oct 14th for both schools, that’s also Election Day. So voting early matters because we know you’re not missing the festivities. Let’s just keep it a buck. Do your part. People always want the advocates and activist to do the work, but our work becomes easier when we elect the right people. Dr. Shawn Wilson is a Black man w a PHD, he will make a great governor. He can’t get there with these numbers. Do your part. I sacrifice time from my family to fight for all our families. I get blocked out of contract opportunities because I fight like I do. Between Baton Rouge and New Orleans the 2 biggest cities in Louisiana we have 270,156 REGISTERED Black voters. Only 15,038 Black people early voted when you add up the turnout totals for both. With low numbers like that turnout is expected to be extremely low for Black voters. Voting doesn’t solve everything by far, but not voting has impacts on your kids education, the investment in your roads and businesses. Even if you don’t care about the social issues, not voting impacts who gets the money. We have good people on the ballot Saturday. In statewide races, as well as senate and house races. If you didn't know how to govern a country of this magnitude and a country of this diversity and you are basically running on 'Government is broken," and when you get in office you have to be terrible in order to prove the original premise? It must be great to be able to do what." Why is it that the only policy ideas we are hearing from Republicans appear to be about limiting the rights of people unlike them? How about things that actually help us all thrive? Scaring people into voting, in my mind, is not a winning strategy. Giving them hope is.
