Warren Buffett: “It takes 3 qualities to do well…[reasonable] intelligence, energy, & integrity… You may not be able to throw a football 60 yards, run the 100 in 9.8, [or] sink 3-pointers, but you can choose where you stand on the integrity scale. That is a choice you make.”

.Greg Jennings says the Bears can be the best offense in football. Here’s how they do it: “The next step is the passing game… You gotta be able to make those throws to your receivers… You cannot throw under 60% when you’re trying to be a great offense.”

Warren Buffett: "You may not get a chance very often, but any calls you get on Sunday you're probably going to make money on. Things are really screwed up if you're getting calls on Sunday. All you have to do is make sure you're the callee and not the caller."

Warren Buffett: "You don't need a lot of brains in this business ... What you do need is emotional stability. You have to be able to think independently. When you come to a conclusion, you have to really not care what other people say & just follow the facts and your reasoning."

Warren Buffett: "The principles [of investing] haven't changed at all. You try to evaluate where a business is going to be in 5 or 10 or 20 years and you try to buy it at the right price relative to that valuation — and you leave alone the ones you don't understand."

Help someone. Lend a hand. Do an act of irrational generosity. You may not be able to change the world but you can make a world of change to someone.

Mel Robbins crushed the biggest self-help myth in 54 seconds: You CAN’T choose how you feel — but you CAN choose what you do about it. “Feelings aren’t a choice. Your behavior and your thoughts are always a choice.” She’s brutally clear: You don’t control the wave of emotion crashing over you — exhaustion, anger, fear, laziness — but you decide whether you ride it, fight it, or let it sink you. Even when you’re drained, annoyed, or unmotivated, you can still: - Drag yourself to the gym - Speak lovingly to your spouse - Push through the hard work that matters That gap between what you feel and what you do? That’s where real character is forged. Stop waiting to “feel like it.” Start acting like the person you want to become — feelings be damned. What’s one thing you’re going to do today… even though you don’t feel like it?

It is a false choice to suggest that you either favor the Second Amendment OR want reasonable gun safety laws—we can do both.

Do not run from fear—understand it. Fear can be a weapon or a chain. When you face it and use it wisely, it sharpens your mind, keeps you aware, and pushes you to grow. But when you let it control you, it blinds you, limits you, and locks you in place. The choice is always yours—will fear guide you, or will it rule you?

The best advice on how to be successful I’ve heard: On Nick Saban’s radio show, a young athlete asked him a bold question. What advice would the Alabama football coach give him – a basketball player – to improve in his sport? Saban’s response is gold: “I think for any athlete, it's the same thing. What's your goal? What's your aspiration? What do you want to accomplish? That's the first thing. “Second thing is to define what it takes to do it. What does it entail for you to be the kind of basketball player that you want to be? “Then you got to make the decision. Are you willing to do that? Are you willing to go work every day and do the things you need to do and take 500 shots a day like Kobe Bryant did so that you can be the kind of player that you want to be? “And then do you have enough discipline to make yourself do it every day? Whether you feel like it or not. “You got to choose to get up. You got to choose to study. You got to choose to go make the shots. You got to choose to work out. People that can do that, they can reach their full potential. “If you choose to make that kind of commitment to it, you can do the same thing, but it's not going to just come to you. It's not going to come easy. “And you're going to have to overcome a lot of adversity to be able to persevere and sustain it to get where you want to go.” – It’s a beautiful response for sports, business and life. Replace the young basketball player with yourself – investor, business owner, manager, teacher, whatever – and the same framework applies. Some key takeaways: 1. Everything begins with a vision. What do you want to achieve? 2. Vision alone isn’t enough. You need a detailed plan of how to achieve it. 3. Commitment separates those who dream from those who do. Most people aren’t willing to do what it takes. 4. Daily execution is the hardest (and most valuable) part. 5. Feelings are irrelevant. You can do what needs to be done despite how you feel. 6. One day of effort is overrated. Daily effort is underrated. 7. Improvement is a lifelong process. Embrace it, cherish it, commit to it. ||| Hope this is helpful.
