Well he didn't t make an Alien 2 and Cameron ended up making the best action sci fi movie of all time with Aliens.

Not at all, it was amazing. Alien 3 was bad for the franchise.

Aliens is great in its own terms, but it just dumbs down the Alien so much. They go down like insects. And they're also, very poorly made if you care about esthetics. The first Alien costume was tremendously good. At least we're getting, finally, the last prequel 💫

Absolutely true. Alien is horror/suspense. Aliens is a shoot-’em-up. Both are great. But everything about Alien — especially the art direction, but also that no one knew going in that Ripley would end up the central character — felt revolutionary. Aliens was just impressive.

The whole 3rd act of Alien was a survival horror story with Ripley as the last survivor. She was always the lead character…

Aliens is the best in the franchise and one of the best sci-fi action movies ever!

I’m going to disagree. The fact that the Alien franchise turns into a “Ripley franchise” is more of the studio’s fault, than it is Cameron’s.

Alien: earth is even better than the films…

I still stand by that Alien 3 is a better sequel to Alien.

Although ir was true for many years, Aliens is no longer the best movie of the franchise.

I was expecting him to say they should’ve just stayed with the mysterious slasher genre.

Terminator 2 did that, predator did that.

Ye but Ridley can't make a story. He's good at filming one. Gladiator was a fluke with story direction by Crowe, not Ridley.

Ridley Scott already showed us what he would’ve done with Alien 2: Prometheus and Covenant. And although both have some half baked yet interesting ideas, I much prefer Aliens
