As the smear campaigns against Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg heat up. I want to dispel two lies being told about the prosecutor. Lie #1: Alvin Bragg campaigned on indicting Trump. FACT: Bragg did not campaign on the idea that he would indict Trump. Bragg was asked if he would shut down investigations into Trump, to which he said he had no plans to do so. Below is an interview Bragg gave in January of 2021 while running for office. Hardly sounds like someone out to get Trump unfairly. Lie #2: George Soros gave funding to Alvin Bragg. FACT: George Soros did not directly fund Alvin Bragg. Republicans make this claim because Soros and over 1000 other Democrats donated to the Color of Change PAC which is a nonprofit civil rights group, and this group created mail campaigns and field campaigns for various democrat candidate, including Alvin Bragg. Republicans just keep embellishing and lying to try and smear a trusted prosecutor.
