Forward only to the casual fan. Backwards out of the hand is the rule. The ball sometimes drifts forward, as long as the arms go back which they clearly do here. Play on.

The passer finishes miles in front of where it lands. Clearly backwards out of the hand and slightly forward due to momentum but most people don’t understand that this is legal.
