First, if he wanted to be taken seriously, he should have presented himself that way. Everything in this video reeks of a lack of seriousness. Secondly, I think GTBank has a role to play here. Overall, Nigeria is a lawless entity.

@gtbank knew exactly what they were doing from the very beginning. They deliberately deducted the money from VDM’s mom’s account because they knew he would accompany her to the bank. That way, they could set him up and hand him over to the police or whatever they had planned.
