Watching Ygritte put three arrows in Jon’s back as he flees for the Wall is peak Game of Thrones tragedy. In my opinion, Ygritte didn't miss his heart because she was a bad shot, she’s the best archer they have. She hit him exactly where she wanted: enough to hurt him for the betrayal, but not enough to kill the man she loved. It’s a brutal, beautiful goodbye that proves Jon Snow really did know nothing about the cost of loyalty.

Jon stopping for that second when he got to Olly always gets me because you can tell that betrayal stayed with him more than the others Out of everybody there, Olly was the one Jon actually cared about personally. He brought that boy close after what happened to his family, trusted him around everything, and in the end Olly still looked at him like he was the enemy. And Thorne never looked doubtful either. Even during his last words, he still sounded like a man completely sure that betraying Jon was the right thing to do for the Watch.
