If Mary was sinless why couldn’t she be the sacrifice?

Protestants really downplay the power of God constantly: —God cannot turn Bread and wine into his body and blood —God can’t preserve Mary as a vessel and Mother of Christ —God cannot give the Saints the ability to hear our prayers and intercede for us —God couldn’t have brought Mary into heaven body and soul It’s just a laundry list of diminishing Gods power for what end?

Why do you use these Weasel tactics and take things out of context ? He didn't specify when she was "redeemed" or in what aspect. Her spirit never had sin, but all flesh is condemned to die. Jesus is the savior of all those born in the flesh.

I don’t know why Catholics even try defending this…better off just saying it’s church tradition and not a biblical idea.

P2: The Greek word "kecharitomene" (full of grace) used in Luke 1:28 indicates a past action with continuing effects, suggesting Mary's ongoing state of grace.

Mary was sinless. Show me in the Bible where she sinned? Also, the ENTIRE early church believed she was sinless. You interpret as if you have authority. You have no clue what you’re talking about sadly.

Microchimerism suggests a biological union that supports the idea of Mary as a living tabernacle. Just as the Ark of the Covenant was holy because it carried God's presence, Mary carried Jesus not just for nine months but throughout her life due to this biological connection.

Confusing original sin and actual sin. Embarrassing blunder. She was and IS sinless.

Good eye. Had to watch twice to catch that. He did claim she was forgiven.

You do realize that arguing that Mary was a sinner is diminishing Christ's divinity. Mary was set aside by God, holy, always.

P1: The claim that Mary was not sinless because Ephesians 1:5-7 speaks of redemption from sins does not apply to Mary in the same way. Mary's redemption was preventive, preserving her from sin at conception, not a forgiveness of sins she committed.

Semantic. He should have spoke better. But it’s obvious he’s referring to her being immaculately conceived by the grace of God so she may be a fitting vessel for our Lord. Yes Mary has always been free from the stain of sin

According to the Bible, MARY MUST be SINLESS… God’s Infinite Holiness simply CANNOT allow God (Jesus) to be contained in a “SINFUL ARK”. Do you think God would be “so careless” as to have His PERFECT PLAN for His NEW COVENANT (Genesis 3:15, Jeremiah 31:31, Isaiah 7:14) to BEGIN with SIN (if Mary is SINFUL)… ABSOLUTELY NOT!

If Mary was sinless and full of Grace Why didn’t the Angel just tell or ask her to be the perfect sacrifice?

1 John 1:8 refers to the general human condition, not specifically to Mary. Mary's sinlessness does not contradict this verse because her state was unique, granted by God’s special grace, not a denial of human nature but a fulfillment of it through divine intervention.

What’s your scripture reference for us not being able to live aimlessly after we are raised to walk a new life. We are no longer slaves to sin. Is the example you use the john verse you cited here, because that simply means if you think you have never sinned you are fooling you.

How do you (and Protestants) account for the original sin issue? If every baby is born tainted with sin, how is Jesus born sinless?

Samantha Walton profil fotoğrafı

This is like saying Mary is the same as all the rest of us. Clearly, she is not and has been provided special graces to become the vessel through which God enters our world. This reminds me of Christians that believe they have full salvation on this earth. Why need heaven then?

Props to Ryan for being a slimmer enough to chose a prompt that already has presupposes his sola scriptura worldview that is not defendable

The concept of original sin is apparently a bit too complicated for Ryan.

You seem to be forgetting Original Sin. You are wrong and can’t see it. That’s a huge mistake and makes you seem either illogical or a person desperate to defend a broken system. Sad.
