This is an outright lie. When Muhammad moved to Medina, it was he who started raiding polytheists’ caravans. Muhammad’s message was so unconvincing that very few people paid attention to it during his first ten years in Makkah. Yes, some locals occasionally harassed him, but he was never tortured because he was protected first by his grandfather and later by his uncle, both influential figures within the leading Quraysh tribe.

He condoned it in Quranic verse, 33:50, “those whom your right hands possess whom Allah has given you as spoils of war.” Husain analogised, saying Muhammad applied the “Jesus approach” in the early part of his life, yet couldn’t bring himself to admit that Muhammad later applied “the warlord approach”; when he led armies to unify Arabia via conquest & subjugation, authorising executions of enemies. Jesus was around ~600 years before Muhammad & slavery was common then too. Yet he didn’t lead armies, take slaves, force conversions by the sword or put those who rejected his teachings to the sword. Muhammad was a slave-owning warlord, champ.

But if an actual Muslim who has lived inside the system speaks up, we immediately become targets for threats and violence. Ask me, I’ll tell you. 2nd: Muhammad was indeed a warlord. After migrating to Medina, Muhammad started raiding and looting the trade caravans. They did this several times until one of those raids finally faced resistance, leading to the Battle of Badr, Muhammad’s first major battle. Is raiding and looting trade caravans considered ‘self-defense’? All of this is clearly documented in Islamic resources. Ask your guest. It’s truly shameful and disappointing.

I am tired of listening to this kind of apologetic lying nonsense, nobody is making Muslims their enemies, they are doing great job in doing so themselves. Islam is not fighting in defense, there is clear historical evidence. For example shortly after American independence, U.S. merchant ships in the Mediterranean were regularly attacked by the Barbary States, Muslim pirate kingdoms in North Africa. These states captured American sailors and enslaved them, demanding large tribute payments in exchange for safe passage. For them it has always and it will always be a religious war.
